Vindication

Your request for prayer against false accusations at work has been heard and I join with you in bringing it before God.

It is a painful thing to be wrongly accused by colleagues, and to feel your livelihood threatened. Scripture teaches that the harm of a false accusation falls most heavily on the one who makes it, for the soul that sins shall answer for it, while the one who suffers unjustly is not stained by the lie of another. God sees what is done in secret and what is spoken falsely, and He is the true judge who will bring truth to light.

Let us pray together.

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ I lift up this your servant who is facing wrong accusations at work. You know the truth of every word spoken and every deed done. I ask that you cancel every false charge brought against this person, that you expose what is false and establish what is true, and that you protect the work you have given to provide for daily needs. Let no weapon formed by envy or rivalry or plotting prosper, but let truth and justice prevail. Grant favor with those in authority, give wisdom to answer with grace and steadiness, and guard this job according to your will.

I also pray for peace and strength within. Help your servant to stand firm as on a rock, not shaken by the winds and floods of affliction and false accusation, but rooted in your commands and in trust in you. Give a calm and philosophic soul that can even give thanks in trial, knowing that you can turn evil intended by others into good for those who love you. Deliver from anxiety and fear, and fill the heart with patience, integrity, and love even toward those who accuse.

Grant wisdom to walk orderly and blamelessly in the workplace, to do all work faithfully as unto you, so that life itself becomes a defense against falsehood. And if there are accusers, work in their hearts also, to turn from falsehood to truth.

We trust you as our protector and provider. Whether you preserve this job or open another door, we ask that your will be done and that your name be glorified through vindication and through a quiet confidence in you. Guard and keep this your servant in Christ, now and always. Amen.

Continue to walk faithfully, speak truthfully, and commit your cause to God in prayer each day. He who founded us on the rock of His teaching will keep us steady when the waves beat against us.

I have heard your cry for vindication and I am praying with you about the false accusations you are facing at work and your concern for your job.

What you are experiencing is very much like what happened to Job. He was a man who was upright, who loved what is good and hated what is evil, and yet he was suddenly surrounded by accusations that had no proof. His friends looked at his suffering and assumed he must be guilty. They called him a hypocrite and a wicked man and said he must have oppressed others, even though none of it was true. They were reasoning that if a person suffers, God must be judging him, so they piled on words without knowledge. In the same way, colleagues can assume the worst and speak against you without knowing the truth.

There is comfort in remembering what Job and his friends did not see. Behind what people could see, God knew the truth about Job completely. He had seen Job's integrity and He knew every false charge was empty. God is fair and God is just, and He does not miss what is done in secret. Even when others misunderstand you, the Lord knows whether you have walked honestly. He is the one who can put a hedge of protection around His people, and He is the one who will plead your cause when you bring it to Him.

In your situation, the best place to turn is to the Lord Himself. Keep your heart right before Him, continue to walk honestly in your work, and ask Him to be your defender. There is one who stands between God and man, Jesus Christ, who understands both your pain and God's perfect justice, and He is able to bring you before the Father. You do not need to answer every accuser in your own strength or repay wrong for wrong. Like Job, you can lay the matter before God, tell Him the truth as you know it, and trust Him to act in His time and in His way. Cultures and workplaces change, but the same deep needs for truth and vindication remain, and God has not changed.

I am praying for you now.

Father, in the name of Jesus I bring this dear one before You. You see every accusation that has been spoken at the workplace and You know what is true and what is false. I ask that You would cancel every wrong and unproven charge against Your child. Silence what is untrue and let the truth be made clear to those who need to see it. Protect this job that You have provided, and keep it secure if it is Your will. Give favor with those in authority and guard against any plan meant for harm. Give peace in the midst of this pressure, patience to endure as Job endured, and confidence that You are just and that You will vindicate in Your perfect time. Help Your child to continue to walk uprightly, to love good and turn from evil, and to trust You more deeply through this trial. Amen.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer.

We have been continuing to lift you up before the Lord, asking Him to cancel every wrong accusation brought against you at your workplace by your colleagues, to be your vindication and to protect your job. We pray in Jesus Name that God will silence every false tongue, reveal the truth, make your righteousness shine as the light, and grant you favor and peace in your workplace. We stand on the promise in Isaiah 54:17 that no weapon formed against you shall prosper and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn.

If your request was answered and the Lord has vindicated you and protected your job, please post a praise report and let us all know so we can rejoice with you. If your request does not seem to have been answered and you are still facing these accusations, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
