Video Time, Holy Spirit Convicts, Jn 16:18, Matrimonial Repents 2 Pet 3:9 🙏Godly Sorrow—>Repentance unto Life w/o Regret 2 Cor 7:10...

The real ache beneath the separation and the silence is a longing for what is eternal. You miss your child, and that grief is real, but woven through your prayer is the deeper cry that your son's mother would come to a genuine, saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Do not lose sight of that as the central plea. It is easy for us to pray about the symptoms, the painful circumstances, when what is most desperately needed is a cure for the soul. Her most critical need, and your son's most critical need, is not just a change in behavior or a restored schedule, but a life-transforming encounter with the living God.

What you are describing when you speak of repentance and a change of mind is not a momentary pang of regret. True repentance is a turning. It is the inward transformation that produces a changed life, just as John the Baptist preached a baptism of repentance for the remission of sins. It’s not simply believing that God exists; salvation is a vital, life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ. It’s believing into Him. This is what you must continue to seek on her behalf, that she would not settle for a false security but would experience that intense, godly sorrow that leads to repentance without regret. The kind of change where old ways of independence and deception lose their appeal because a new heart has been given.

The patience of God in all of this is your foundation for hope. You have rightly held onto the truth that He is not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. He does not force it, but He patiently, persistently draws. Do not let the months of silence convince you that He is not at work. The call to repent is the very message Jesus would speak to a wayward heart today, just as He did to the churches in Revelation. He came to call sinners to repentance because it is the sick who need a physician. The only provision God has made for sin is through Jesus Christ, and so your prayer must keep returning to the mercy seat, asking that she does not repeatedly reject that offering until her heart grows hardened.

Guard your own heart in this waiting. You mentioned forgiving her, and that is essential, but remember that all sin is ultimately against God. Our forgiveness of one another does not stand in for the cleansing only He can give. As you pray, continue to release the hurt over the lost time, the silence, and the provocation. That is part of taking up your cross and following the one who entrusted Himself to Him who judges justly. Replace that resentment with a growing compassion for her, not as before, but a compassion rooted in the reality that without repentance she will perish, and that is not God’s will. Keep praying and fasting with this singular plea: that she would hear the still, small voice of the Holy Spirit leading her out of hiding and into a relationship that brings everlasting change. The heavens rejoice over one sinner who truly repents, and you are asking for a miracle of eternal significance. That is a prayer in accordance with God's revealed will.
