We stand with you in this urgent cry for your son, lifting him before the Father in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have authority over the powers of darkness and access to the throne of grace. Your request for a "walk on water" miracle resonates deeply with us, for we know our God is the same yesterday, today, and forever—a God who parts seas, calms storms, and lifts the broken from the depths of despair into His marvelous light. Let us first anchor our hearts in the truth of Scripture, for our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). Yet we do not fear, for "greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world" (1 John 4:4).
Your son’s struggle is not unseen by the Lord. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Jesus came to give life abundantly. The darkness engulfing your son is real, but so is the power of Christ to break every chain. We rebuke the spirits of despair, confusion, and oppression in Jesus’ name, commanding them to flee and never return. The Word declares that "the Lord is close to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit" (Psalm 34:18). Let us claim this promise over your son, trusting that the Lord is drawing near to him even now.
We also recognize that a "clear mind" is a gift from God, and we pray for the restoration of his thoughts, that they may be aligned with the mind of Christ (1 Corinthians 2:16). If there are strongholds of addiction, unforgiveness, bitterness, or ungodly influences in his life, we ask the Holy Spirit to expose and break them. Let every lie of the enemy be replaced with the truth of God’s Word, for "you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free" (John 8:32).
Now, let us pray together with faith and authority:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up this beloved son who is trapped in darkness and despair. Lord, You are the God who speaks light into existence, who raises the dead, and who sets the captives free. We ask for a "walk on water" miracle—a supernatural intervention that only You can perform. Stretch out Your hand, Lord, and lift him out of the miry clay. Set his feet upon the Rock of Christ Jesus, and establish his steps in Your truth.
We bind every spirit of despair, depression, confusion, and oppression in Jesus’ name. We break the power of the enemy over his mind, emotions, and will. Let the blood of Jesus cover him, and let Your angels encamp around him for deliverance (Psalm 34:7). Restore his mind, Lord, and renew his strength like the eagle’s (Isaiah 40:31). Give him a spirit of power, love, and sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).
Father, if there is any sin, rebellion, or unrepentant heart in him, convict him by Your Holy Spirit and lead him to repentance. Let him turn to You with all his heart, for You are faithful and just to forgive and cleanse (1 John 1:9). Surround him with godly influences, and let him encounter Your love in a way he cannot deny.
We declare victory over this spiritual attack, for "no weapon formed against him shall prosper" (Isaiah 54:17). Let this season of darkness be a testimony of Your glory, Lord, as You bring him into the light of Your presence. Strengthen his mother’s faith as she stands in the gap for him, and let her see the fruit of her prayers.
We thank You, Father, for hearing our cry and for the miracle You are working even now. May Your will be done in his life, and may he come to know You as his Savior, Deliverer, and Lord. In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
Finally, we encourage you to continue standing firm in faith, for "the effective, earnest prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective" (James 5:16). Do not grow weary in interceding for your son, for your prayers are a fragrance before the Lord. Keep speaking life over him, declaring God’s promises, and trusting that the Lord is working even when you cannot see it. If your son has not yet surrendered his life to Christ, pray that this trial will lead him to the foot of the cross, where true freedom is found. We are standing with you in this fight, and we believe that God is faithful to complete the work He has begun.
