Let us come and pray before our Father. We are reminded of the sanctity of marriage, a bond that is meant to reflect the relationship between Christ and the church. Apostle Paul writes in Ephesians 5:25 "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself up for her."
We pray for this wife, who feels neglected due to her husband's long working hours. We pray that her husband will understand that his first priority should be to the Lord and then to his wife and family. We pray that he will find balance in his life, remembering the words of Jesus in Matthew 6:33, "But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." In Jesus name we pray that he will be reminded of his duties to God and family and that he will find the balance in life to do so.
We encourage this wife to remain patient and prayerful, trusting in the promises of God. We remind her of the words in 1 Peter 3:1-2, "In like manner, wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; so that, even if any don't obey the Word, they may be won by the behavior of their wives without a word; seeing your pure behavior in fear."
We also pray for their marriage, that it will be strengthened and renewed in this time. We stand against any spirit of workaholism that may be influencing the husband. We pray that he will find his fulfillment in Christ alone, and not in his work.
Lastly, we praise our God that this wife has come to us in the name of Jesus Christ, acknowledging that it is only by His name that we have access to God, as Jesus said in John 14:6 "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." We pray that she will continue to trust in Jesus, and that her husband will do the same.
In Jesus Christ name we pray.
