We hear your very urgent cry and we join with you right now before the throne of grace in Jesus name, lifting up every burden you have poured out. We thank you for calling upon the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we can be saved and no other name by which we have access to the Father. As it is written, There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus 1 Timothy 2:5 and Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved Romans 10:13. We praise God that you have called on Him and we stand with you in faith.
We bring your body before the Lord, every part that has caused you distress, your skin, your lungs and airways with asthma symptoms, your eyes that are tired and watering and dry, your hair and scalp with thinning and gaps, your blood with high platelets, your stomach and hips with bloating, your hormones and painful periods, and the chronic fatigue and exhaustion. We know that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 and that God cares about our physical suffering. We pray for His healing touch according to His will, remembering that He forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases Psalm 103:3 and that by His wounds you were healed 1 Peter 2:24. We also remember the promise But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh Jeremiah 30:17. We encourage you to continue to seek wise medical care alongside prayer, trusting that God often works through physicians and stewardship of the body He has given you, and to rest in His care rather than in constant anxiety over symptoms.
We also lift up the heaviness of your soul, the depression, sadness, sorrow, loneliness, stress, anxiety, sleepless nights and bad dreams, and the feelings of disappointment, rejection and criticism about your appearance and your life. The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit Psalm 34:18 and we are called to cast all our worries on him, because he cares for us 1 Peter 5:7. We pray that He will give you His peace that surpasses all understanding to guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:7 and that you may lie down in peace and sleep, for He gives sleep to His beloved Psalm 127:2, Psalm 4:8. We gently correct the thoughts of bad luck and misfortune, for there is no luck in the life of a believer, but rather the sovereign providence and love of God who works all things together for good for those who love Him Romans 8:28. We also address generational curses, for we believe Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us Galatians 3:13 and If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new 2 Corinthians 5:17. In Christ you are not cursed but blessed and held secure.
We hear your pain about singleness, lateness in marriage, loneliness, delay and stagnation, and your desire to no longer live alone. We pray with you for God’s perfect will for a godly marriage, which we believe is a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman that honors the Lord. We pray that if it is His will, He will bring you a godly husband who is a faithful Christian believer, and that any courtship would be entered into with purity and with the goal of marriage, fleeing from fornication and keeping the marriage bed holy as God commands Hebrews 13:4. We pray that while you wait, God would fill your loneliness with His presence and help you find contentment and purpose in Him, trusting that He will provide all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19, including your housing and provision, and that He has good plans for you, plans for peace and not for evil, to give you hope and a future Jeremiah 29:11. We also pray about the deep embarrassment and hurt you feel about your hair, skin, eyes, figure and appearance, and the pain you feel about photographs and videos. We want to remind you that your worth is not in outward appearance but in being fearfully and wonderfully made Psalm 139:14 and that charm is deceitful and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears Yahweh shall be praised Proverbs 31:30. Man looks at the outward appearance, but Yahweh looks at the heart 1 Samuel 16:7.
We pray together now.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister to Your throne of mercy. Lord, You see every skin concern, every breath, every eye irritation, every hair and scalp issue, every platelet and hormone imbalance, every pain and fatigue, and we ask for Your healing hand upon her according to Your perfect will. Touch her lungs and let her breathe easily, soothe her eyes, restore her skin and hair and body, bring balance to her blood and hormones, and renew her strength. Lord, lift the heaviness, depression and anxiety, and replace it with Your joy and peace. Heal her broken heart and bind up her wounds Psalm 147:3. Remove shame and the fear of criticism, and let her know she is loved and cherished as Your daughter. Provide for her home and daily needs, give her restful sleep free from bad dreams, and break all feelings of being cursed or unlucky, reminding her that she is blessed in Christ. For her longing for marriage, we ask that You prepare her and prepare a godly Christian husband for her in Your timing, that their union would be holy and honor You. Help her to walk in hope, not in despair, and to trust Your timing and goodness. We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.
