We hear your urgent cry and we join together with you before the Lord in Jesus' name, lifting your heart to Him with compassion and care.

We understand the deep desire to feel beautiful and confident in every photograph and video and to be amazed when you see yourself. God does care about your heart and how you see yourself, and we want to gently share what His Word says about true beauty and worth. You are already fearfully and wonderfully made by His hands, as it is written Ps 139:14 I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well. Your value is not determined by a filter or a camera or how you appear on social media, but by being created in the image of God and deeply loved by Him.

The Scripture reminds us where real beauty is found and how God sees us. It says 1 Sam 16:7 Man looks at the outward appearance, but Yahweh looks at the heart. And also 1 Pet 3:3-4 Let your beauty be not just the outward adorning of braiding the hair, and of wearing jewels of gold, or of putting on fine clothing, but in the hidden person of the heart, in the incorruptible adornment of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God. And Prov 31:30 Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears Yahweh, she shall be praised. Filters and photos can create an unrealistic standard that never satisfies and can draw our hearts toward vanity and anxiety about appearance, when God desires us to find our peace and identity in Christ and to cultivate inner beauty that honors Him.

We also want to lovingly correct the idea of decreeing and declaring as if we can command God to do what we want. We do not decree to God, but we humbly pray and submit to His perfect will with faith and trust, knowing He hears us and answers according to His wisdom and love. We are thankful you called on the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him we have access to the Father and it is in His name we are saved and heard, as it is written John 14:6 Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.

We pray together for you now. Father in heaven, we lift this precious one to You in the name of Jesus Christ. We ask You to fill her heart with Your peace and to help her see herself as You see her, wonderfully made, loved, and valued. Heal any insecurity or comparison and free her from the pressure to look a certain way in every photo or video. Teach her to rest in Your love and to seek the beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit that is precious in Your sight. Help her to use photos and social media with wisdom and modesty and not to be consumed by outward appearance, but to be transformed inwardly by Your Spirit and to be truly astonished by Your grace and goodness now and always. We ask that Your will be done in her life and that she would grow in confidence in Christ and in joy that does not depend on outward image. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to spend time daily thanking God for how He made you and asking Him to help you grow in inner beauty, character, and faith. When you feel the urge to compare or to rely on filters, turn your heart to prayer and to His Word and remember that your true worth is secure in Christ. We are praying that you will be amazed not by a perfect image, but by how deeply God loves you and how He is making you whole from the inside out.

We hear how strongly you want to feel confident and at peace when you see yourself in any photo or video, without needing a filter to feel good about what you see. Wanting to be astonished in a good way by your own reflection makes sense, especially with so much pressure from cameras and social media to look flawless.

We want to gently remind you of something steady to hold onto. Your worth isn't measured by how a picture turns out, even when that picture feels very personal. God cares far more about who you are becoming in character and in Christ than about any outward image, and His love for you as His creation doesn't rise and fall with lighting or angles. Perfection is not what makes you beloved.

One small practice that helps many people is to notice the quiet self-talk that runs right before you open the camera. If you hear that harsh inner voice saying you must look better than a filter to be okay, pause and remind yourself of what is true, that you are already seen and loved by the One audience that matters most, and you don't have to earn that.

Father, we lift our friend to You and ask for Your peace to settle over this area of pressure. Help them to see themselves with kindness and truth, to rest in Your love, and to walk in growing freedom from comparison. Give them joy in how You made them and confidence that comes from knowing they are Yours. In Jesus' name, amen.

Thank you Heavenly Father for blessing us with another day, and for all you do for all of us. All glory and honor belongs to you Father. I lift this prayer up on your glory Father God and ask that you grant your perfect will. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

“But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him.”

‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭17‬:‭7‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Your urgent cry has been brought before the Lord and we have carried it to the throne of grace with care for your soul.

We hear in your words a deep longing to be seen as beautiful and to be amazed at your own appearance in every image that is taken of you. Yet the Scriptures teach us that true hope is not found in the face that appears in a photograph or in any filter of man, but in Christ Himself. As we have often preached, a sense of unworthiness finds a fit companion in strong faith in Christ. When you have no confidence in yourself there is more room in the soul for faith in Jesus. The greater the emptiness, the more room for that which is to be the fullness. If you have no reason whatever why you should be accepted except the free grace of God in Christ, then take that free grace here and now.

We cannot in good conscience ask God to grant what amounts to a decree for outward perfection according to our own desire, for we do not decree and declare to God as though He must obey our words. Rather we humbly petition Him according to His will. God has set forth Christ Jesus to be a propitiation through faith in His blood, and salvation is in Christ, wholly in Christ, in Christ alone. The moment any of you trust Him genuinely to be your sole and only Saviour, you have accepted God's propitiation and God has accepted you.

Hear this comfort, that all who are in Christ are perfect in Christ Jesus. Though in my flesh dwells no good thing, yet having been washed in His blood and clothed with His righteousness and united to His person, the believer is complete in Him. This is the true beauty which does not fade with time or fail in a camera lens. It is Christ in you, the hope of glory. Christ possessed, Christ experienced, Christ in you by faith, this is worth a world. Gold is valuable, but men think more of a pound in their pockets than of huge ingots in the bank vault. So Christ in the heart is better than any outward adornment.

Our prayer for you therefore is not that you might look better than all filters, but that you might see your need of Christ and find life in Him. We pray that the Lord would draw your heart away from anxious care about every photograph and video, and give you rest in His favour, for in His favour is life. We pray that you would know that your life is not dependent on yourself but is safe in your Lord, and that you would keep right on believing in Jesus day by day, finding that the fruit of that believing will be seen every day. We pray that you would be delivered from the bondage of seeking to please the eye, and would rejoice in the liberty wherewith Christ has set His people free.

May the Lord show you that He elevates all whom He indwells to a nobler state, so that you may say, I live, yet not I, but Christ lives in me. May you grow in faith and enlarge your receiving power till you take in Christ into your inmost soul by the Holy Spirit, and find there a consolation that no image can give and no lens can take away.
