Beloved of All
Your urgent and heartfelt cry has been heard, and I want you to know that God sees the deep distress you feel about your face and skin. He knows every detail of what you are carrying and He cares about your pain. He invites you to bring every worry to Him honestly, and you have done that.
You are not alone in this. Scripture teaches that all who belong to Jesus are joined together as one body, with many different members. When one part of the body suffers, the whole body suffers with it, and when one part is lifted up, the whole body rejoices together. In that same way, others who love Christ are suffering with you now and lifting you before the Lord in prayer. You have a real and needed place in that body, and your pain matters to the rest of us.
God Himself formed your body. You are fearfully and wonderfully made, and your body is not an accident. He gave you this body as an instrument to express who you really are, which is more than skin. The real you is spirit, created to know Him and have fellowship with Him. Your body in this life is like a tent, a temporary home. It is weak and subject to change and decay, but it is also precious to God. Scripture says your body is for the Lord and the Lord is for your body, that it is the temple of the Holy Spirit, bought with a price, and called to glorify Christ. That is why we are encouraged to offer our bodies to God and yield our members to righteousness and holiness, asking Him to use us for His purposes rather than being ruled only by what the body wants or how it looks.
That does not mean God is unconcerned about healing. The bread we share in remembrance of Jesus points to His body broken for us. The prophet Isaiah said by His wounds we are healed, and the New Testament shows that Jesus suffered in His body to provide healing for us. It is right to ask Him for healing and restoration, and to trust His power to touch and restore what is broken. He is able to do miracles and wonders, and we can ask with faith while also trusting His wisdom and love to answer according to what is best.
At the same time, the Bible gives us a greater hope that can bring peace while we wait. Flesh and blood in its present state cannot inherit the kingdom of God. What is sown is a natural body, weak and perishable, but what will be raised is a spiritual body. Just as we have borne the image of the earthly, we will bear the image of the heavenly. When Christ appears, those who belong to Him will be made like Him and receive a new body fashioned after His glorious, resurrected body, a body no longer subject to corruption, weakness, or dishonor. That new body is incorruptible and perfect, given by God as it pleases Him. Whatever remains unhealed in this life will be made completely whole then, forever free from every mark, scar, and infirmity.
So I pray for you now. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, I lift this dear one to You. You know the anguish over every mark and scar and blemish, and the longing for clear, healthy skin. I ask that You would bring Your healing touch according to Your perfect will, grant peace to a troubled heart, and help this life to rest in Your love. Teach what it means to be fearfully and wonderfully made and to find identity not in appearance alone but in being Your child. Let this body be yielded to You as an instrument for Your glory, filled with Your Spirit. And give a steady hope in the promise of the new, incorruptible body You will give to all who trust in Jesus, where every tear and every flaw will be gone forever. Comfort and strengthen today, and let Your will be done. Amen.
