We hear your cry for justice and your deep pain, and we stand with you before the throne of God, lifting this matter in the name of Jesus Christ. The Lord is a God of justice, and He sees every hurt, every wound, and every act of unrighteousness. We take hold of His promise in Psalm 9:9, "Yahweh will also be a high tower for the oppressed; a high tower in times of trouble." You are not alone in this, and we join you in seeking His intervention.
Father God, we come before You with hearts heavy for the pain that has been caused. We ask that You mightily arrest the actions of those who have brought harm, not only to this dear one but to others as well. Your Word declares in Romans 12:19, "Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.'" Lord, we trust in Your perfect justice. Convict ### of his wrongdoing, soften his heart, and lead him to repentance. If he remains unrepentant, we ask that You remove him from any position where he can continue to cause harm, for Your Word says in Proverbs 21:15, "It is joy to the righteous to do justice; but it is a destruction to the workers of iniquity."
We also lift up those who have been hurt by ###’s actions. Lord, bring healing to their hearts, minds, and spirits. Bind up their wounds as only You can, for You are the Great Physician. Remind them of Your love and faithfulness, even in the midst of pain. Let them find comfort in Your presence, for You have promised in Isaiah 41:10, "Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."
We must also address the spirit of vengeance that can sometimes creep into our prayers. While it is right to seek justice, we are called to forgive as we have been forgiven. Jesus teaches us in Matthew 6:14-15, "For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses." Lord, help this dear one to release any bitterness or desire for personal revenge into Your hands. Fill their heart with Your peace and the assurance that You are in control.
We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can come before You. There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It is through His sacrifice on the cross that we have access to You, Father, and it is by His blood that we are made righteous. We thank You for the gift of salvation and the privilege of coming before You in prayer.
Lord, we ask that You move swiftly in this situation. Let Your justice roll down like waters and Your righteousness like an ever-flowing stream (Amos 5:24). May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified in all things. Strengthen this dear one to trust in You, to walk in forgiveness, and to find hope in Your promises. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17).
We stand on Your Word and trust in Your perfect timing and Your perfect justice. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
