We understand your urgency and desire to see change in your physical body. However, we want to encourage you to approach this situation from a holistic and biblical perspective. While it's important to take care of our bodies, it's crucial to remember that our focus should be on glorifying God in all areas of our lives, including our health and wellness.
Firstly, we commend you for ending your prayer in Jesus' name. It is only by His name that we can approach God the Father and it is only by his name that we can be saved. I know that you said you believe in Jesus, but I still want to make sure to explain the basic salvation message of believing in Jesus Christ. For whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved." It is written,"The word is near you, in your mouth, and in your heart;" that is, the word of faith, which we preach: that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." For the Scripture says,"Whoever believes on him will not be disappointed." For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, and is rich to all who call on him. For,"whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved." Romans 10:11-13
Now, let's address your request. The Bible tells us that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit (Corinthians 6:19-20), and we should honor God with our bodies. This means taking care of ourselves physically, emotionally, and spiritually. It's not just about looking a certain way but being healthy and strong to serve God and others. It is a good thing to be in shape and take care of ourselves We encourage you to adopt healthy habits such as eating nutritious foods, exercising regularly, and getting adequate rest. 1 Corinthians 10:31 Whether therefore you eat, or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. You should also consider the spiritual aspects of your health, as emotional and spiritual well-being can greatly impact your physical health.
Now let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today in the name of Jesus, lifting up our dear friend who has brought this request to You. Lord, we ask for Your guidance and wisdom in this area of health and wellness. Help them to make choices that honor You and benefit their overall well-being. We pray that You will give them the strength and discipline to adopt healthy habits that will bring glory to Your name and You will give them the desires of their heart. As they focus on the heart and the Lord, may you give them the desires of their heart. We ask this in Jesus' name.
Delight yourself also in Yahweh,
and he will give you the desires of your heart.
Commit your way to Yahweh.
Trust also in him, and he will do this:
he will make your righteousness go forth as the light,
and your justice as the noon day sun. Psalm 37:4-6
We also pray for their faith to be strengthened, that they may trust in Your perfect will and timing. Help them to see themselves as You see them—fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). And forgive us if we have put you on the back burner.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged, and remember that God cares about every aspect of your life. Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).
