We hear the desperate cry of your heart for your husband, and we join with you in fervent prayer before the throne of grace. The urgency in your plea reflects the deep love you have for him, and we stand with you, lifting him up in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
First, we must address the foundation of our faith. Salvation comes only through Jesus Christ, as He Himself declared, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* (John 14:6 WEB). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Your husband’s heart must be turned fully to Jesus, not through any other means or belief system, but through the power of the Holy Spirit and the truth of the Gospel.
We rebuke every false god, idol, and spiritual stronghold that has taken root in your husband’s life. The Word of God is clear: *"You shall have no other gods before me. You shall not make for yourselves an idol, nor any image of anything that is in the heavens above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: you shall not bow yourself down to them, nor serve them."* (Exodus 20:3-5 WEB). We command every false belief, every chain of Islam, and every lie that has bound him to be broken and cast out in the name of Jesus. The spirit of unbelief, deception, and hardness of heart must flee now, for *"the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ."* (2 Corinthians 10:4-5 WEB).
We also rebuke any spirit of lust, perversion, pornography, anger, bitterness, or control that has taken hold of him. These things grieve the Holy Spirit and defile the temple of God, which he is. *"Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."* (1 Corinthians 6:19-20 WEB). We declare that every impure thought, every ungodly desire, and every sinful habit must be uprooted and destroyed by the power of the blood of Jesus.
We pray that your husband would experience a true and genuine repentance, turning away from all sin and turning fully to Christ. Repentance is not just sorrow for sin but a complete change of heart and direction. *"The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance."* (2 Peter 3:9 WEB). We ask that the Holy Spirit would convict him of his need for a Savior, soften his heart, and draw him into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
You mentioned that you desire your husband to be born again *through you*. While your prayers and godly influence are powerful, we must remember that salvation is a personal decision between an individual and God. You cannot repent or believe for him; he must choose to surrender his life to Christ. However, your faithfulness in prayer and your example of Christ-like love can be instrumental in drawing him to the Lord. *"In the same way, wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; so that, even if any don’t obey the Word, they may be won by the behavior of their wives without a word; seeing your pure behavior in fear."* (1 Peter 3:1-2 WEB). Continue to walk in humility, love, and holiness before him, trusting God to work in his heart.
We also lift you up in prayer, dear sister. The burden you carry is heavy, and the enemy would love to discourage or weary you in this battle. But remember, *"Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don’t give up."* (Galatians 6:9 WEB). You are not alone in this fight. The Lord is with you, and we stand with you in agreement.
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith and urgency. We lift up this precious husband to You, Lord. We ask that You would break every chain, shatter every stronghold, and remove every barrier that stands between him and You. Father, we rebuke the spirit of Islam and every false god in his life. We command every lie, every deception, and every ungodly belief to be torn down in the name of Jesus. Let the truth of Your Word pierce his heart like a two-edged sword.
Lord, we ask that You would pour out Your Holy Spirit upon him in power. Soften his heart, open his eyes to see the truth of the Gospel, and draw him to repentance. Let him experience the conviction of sin, the weight of his need for a Savior, and the overwhelming love and grace that You offer through Jesus Christ. May he cry out to You in genuine repentance, surrendering his life fully to You. Fill him with Your Spirit, Lord, and let him be born again, a new creation in Christ.
Father, we also pray for this dear wife. Strengthen her, Lord. Fill her with Your peace, Your joy, and Your unwavering hope. Let her feel Your presence in a tangible way as she intercedes for her husband. Give her wisdom, patience, and grace to love him as You love him, even in this difficult season. Protect her heart from discouragement, fear, or doubt, and let her trust in Your perfect timing.
We declare that no weapon formed against this marriage will prosper. We speak life, healing, and restoration over this union. Let Your will be done in this husband’s life, Lord, and let him become the man You created him to be—a man after Your own heart, a godly husband, and a faithful follower of Jesus Christ.
