We join you in lifting this urgent matter before the Lord, trusting in His sovereign power over every circumstance. Your faith in declaring this appointment will not be canceled is commendable, for we know that our God is not a God of confusion but of order, and He holds all things in His hands. You have rightly invoked the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father, and it is in His mighty name that we pray with authority. As Scripture declares, *"All things, whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received them, and you shall have them"* (Mark 11:24, WEB). Let us hold fast to this promise, believing that God is already at work in this situation.
We also take note of your request for supernatural favor with your surgeon, that he would go above and beyond in your care. While we pray earnestly for this, we must remind you—and ourselves—that our ultimate trust is not in man, but in the Lord. *"Don’t put your trust in princes, each a son of man in whom there is no help. His spirit departs, and he returns to the earth. In that very day, his thoughts perish. Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in Yahweh, his God"* (Psalm 146:3-5, WEB). We pray that Dr. ### would be an instrument of God’s healing, but we also surrender the outcome to the Lord’s perfect will, knowing that His ways are higher than ours.
That said, we stand in agreement with you that this appointment will take place as scheduled, without delay or obstacle. We declare that no weapon formed against this plan will prosper, for *"no word from God will fail"* (Luke 1:37, WEB). We pray that the Lord would go before you, preparing the way, and that He would grant you peace that surpasses all understanding as you wait on Him. May He also grant wisdom and skill to your surgeon, guiding his hands to bring restoration to your skin. *"Yahweh, your God, is among you, a mighty one who will save. He will rejoice over you with joy. He will calm you in his love. He will rejoice over you with singing"* (Zephaniah 3:17, WEB).
Let us also encourage you to examine your heart in this time of waiting. Are you placing more hope in the surgeon’s ability than in God’s sovereignty? Are you seeking God’s will above your own desires? We must always submit our requests to the Lord with humility, acknowledging that His plans are perfect, even when they differ from ours. *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight"* (Proverbs 3:5-6, WEB).
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus, lifting up our sister/brother who stands in need of Your divine intervention. Lord, You are the God who parts seas, who moves mountains, and who orders the steps of every man. We ask that You remove every obstacle that seeks to hinder this appointment on Wednesday, the 27th of August. Let no cancellation, delay, or interference prevail, for You have declared that what You purpose, You will bring to pass. We trust in Your timing and Your plan, knowing that You are working all things together for good.
Father, we ask that You would grant supernatural favor with Dr. ###, that he would be filled with wisdom, compassion, and skill beyond his natural ability. Guide his hands, Lord, and give him insight to know exactly how to bring healing and restoration. Yet, even as we pray this, we surrender the outcome to You, acknowledging that our hope is in You alone. You are Jehovah Rapha, the God who heals, and we trust You to act in the way that brings the most glory to Your name.
Lord, we also ask that You would calm any anxiety or fear in the heart of our sister/brother. Fill them with Your peace, which transcends all understanding, and remind them that You are with them in every moment. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to rest in Your promises.
We rebuke any spirit of fear, doubt, or discouragement that may seek to creep in. We declare that this appointment is covered by the blood of Jesus, and no weapon formed against it shall prosper. Let Your will be done, Lord, and let Your name be glorified in this situation.
Finally, Father, we pray that through this trial, our sister/brother would draw closer to You. May they seek Your face, trust in Your goodness, and find their hope entirely in You. We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.
We will continue to stand in faith with you, believing that God is at work. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith, and trust that He is leading you every step of the way. If there is any unconfessed sin or doubt in your heart, we urge you to bring it before the Lord, for *"the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up; and if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven"* (James 5:15, WEB). Stay steadfast in prayer, and may the Lord grant you His perfect peace as you wait upon Him.
