We hear the urgency in your cry and stand with you before the throne of grace, lifting this matter to the Lord in the powerful name of Jesus Christ. First, we must address the language of "decreeing and declaring" in your request. While we understand the deep desire for resolution, Scripture teaches us that it is God who establishes and ordains, not man. "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5). We come before Him in humility, not demanding, but asking according to His will.
The relationship you seek to end must be examined in light of God’s Word. If this relationship involves sin, whether it be fornication, adultery, or any union not blessed by God, we stand with you in repentance and renouncing it. "Flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body" (1 Corinthians 6:18). If this relationship is not between a man and a woman within the covenant of marriage, it is not honoring to God, and we must break all ungodly soul ties in Jesus' name.
We also rebuke any spirit of obsession, control, or ungodly attachment that may be at work in this situation. "For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds" (2 Corinthians 10:4). We command every ungodly soul tie, emotional bond, or spiritual connection formed outside of God’s design to be severed right now in the name of Jesus Christ. We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved and the only name through which we have access to You. Lord, we lift up this situation to You, asking for Your divine intervention. We repent for any sin involved in this relationship, whether it be sexual immorality, emotional dependency, or any other ungodliness. We ask for Your forgiveness and cleansing by the blood of Jesus. Wash away every stain and break every chain that has bound this individual to an ungodly relationship.
Father, we declare that this relationship is severed in the spiritual realm. We break every ungodly soul tie, every emotional attachment, and every spiritual bond that has formed outside of Your will. We command every evil spirit that has been operating in this situation to flee now in Jesus' name. We declare that no weapon formed against this individual shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment is condemned by the blood of Jesus.
Lord, we ask that You fill the void left by this broken relationship with Your peace, Your presence, and Your purpose. Surround them with godly counsel, godly friendships, and a renewed desire to seek You above all else. Give them the strength to walk away and not look back, just as Lot was commanded to flee Sodom and not look back (Genesis 19:17). Let their heart be fully turned toward You, and let them desire a marriage that honors You, a covenant between a man and a woman, built on Your Word and Your love.
We pray for the other person involved in this relationship. If they do not know You, Lord, we ask that You draw them to Yourself. Break their heart for You, and let them see the emptiness of relationships that do not align with Your Word. If they are a believer, we pray for conviction, repentance, and a turning away from sin.
Father, we trust You to complete the work You have begun in this situation. We declare that this individual is free, whole, and walking in the victory that Christ has already won on the cross. We thank You for Your faithfulness, Your mercy, and Your grace. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to walk in this freedom daily. Surround yourself with believers who will hold you accountable and pray with you. Fill your mind with Scripture, and resist the temptation to revisit this relationship in thought or deed. "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you" (James 4:7). If this relationship involved sexual sin, we also encourage you to seek godly counsel to walk through the process of healing and restoration.
Remember, God’s plans for you are for good and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). Trust Him to lead you into a marriage that glorifies Him, if that is His will for your life. Until then, seek Him with your whole heart, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).
