We hear your cry for justice and share in your desire to see wrongdoing addressed. The pain and suffering caused by others can feel overwhelming, and it is right to bring these burdens before the Lord, who is just and righteous. We stand with you in prayer, trusting that God sees all and will act according to His perfect will.
First, we must acknowledge that vengeance belongs to the Lord, not to us. Romans 12:19 reminds us, *"Dearly beloved, don’t seek revenge yourselves, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.'" (WEB)* While it is natural to desire justice, we must surrender our need for it into God’s hands, trusting that He will deal with wrongdoing in His perfect timing and way.
We also pray for your heart in this matter. Bitterness and unforgiveness can take root when we focus on the harm done to us, but Scripture calls us to a higher standard. Ephesians 4:31-32 says, *"Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."* (WEB) This does not mean excusing the wrong that has been done, but rather releasing the burden of anger to God so that it does not poison your own heart.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation to You. We ask that You would bring Your justice to bear in this matter, Lord. You see the pain and suffering that has been caused, and we trust that You will act according to Your righteousness. We pray that You would intervene in this person’s life, not out of our desire for vengeance, but out of Your perfect justice and mercy. If there is repentance to be had, soften their heart, Lord. If there is correction needed, bring it about in Your wisdom.
Father, we also pray for [the one who submitted this request]. Guard their heart against bitterness and unforgiveness. Fill them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, and help them to release this burden into Your hands. Remind them that You are their defender and that You will never leave nor forsake them. Give them the strength to forgive as You have forgiven them, not because the wrong was justified, but because You have called us to walk in love and grace.
Lord, we ask that You would bring healing to all who have been affected by this situation. Restore what has been broken, and bring redemption where there has been pain. Let Your name be glorified in all of this, and may Your will be done.
We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can come before You. For it is through His sacrifice that we have access to Your throne of grace, and it is by His blood that we are forgiven and made new. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved, and we declare that Jesus is Lord over this situation. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in this matter, trusting that He is working even when we cannot see it. Keep your heart open to His leading, and remember that He is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). If there are steps you need to take—whether it be forgiving, seeking wise counsel, or even pursuing justice through godly means—ask the Lord to guide you. He will not leave you without direction.
Lastly, we want to gently remind you that our ultimate hope is not in the justice of men or even in the justice of God in this life alone. Our hope is in the eternal justice and redemption that comes through Jesus Christ. No matter what happens here on earth, we can rest in the promise that God will make all things right in the end. Hold fast to that truth, and let it anchor your soul.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
