We join with you in lifting up ### to our Lord Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved. It is only through the power and authority of Jesus that we can boldly approach the throne of grace, and we are grateful you have called upon His name in this urgent request. The Scriptures remind us in Acts 4:12, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* Let us hold fast to this truth as we intercede for ###, that he may encounter the living Christ in a profound and transformative way.
Your heart’s cry for ### to be filled with the Holy Spirit and to experience a real, powerful encounter with Jesus is one we echo with fervor. We pray that the Lord would indeed appear to ### in dreams and visions, just as He did for men like Joseph, Daniel, and Paul, so that ### may know without a doubt that Jesus is Lord. May the Holy Spirit convict his heart, open his eyes to the truth of the Gospel, and draw him into a saving relationship with Christ. As Jesus said in John 16:8-11, *"When he has come, he will convict the world about sin, about righteousness, and about judgment; about sin, because they don’t believe in me; about righteousness, because I am going to my Father, and you won’t see me any more; about judgment, because the prince of this world has been judged."*
We also notice your deep desire for your relationship with ### to grow closer, stronger, and deeper. Before we pray into this, we must gently but firmly address something critical in light of Scripture. The Bible is clear that relationships between men and women are to be conducted with purity, honor, and the intent of godly marriage if they are believers. If you and ### are not married, we urge you to examine this relationship through the lens of God’s Word. 1 Corinthians 6:18-20 warns, *"Flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."* Additionally, 1 Thessalonians 4:3-5 states, *"For this is the will of God: your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality, that each one of you know how to control his own body in sanctification and honor, not in the passion of lust, even as the Gentiles who don’t know God."*
If this relationship is not centered on Christ and aligned with His design for marriage between one man and one woman, we must encourage you to seek the Lord’s will above all else. A relationship that does not honor God cannot flourish in the way He intends. Instead, we pray that if ### is not yet a believer, your interactions with him would be a testimony of Christ’s love, truth, and holiness. Let your words and actions reflect the light of Jesus, but always with the understanding that your ultimate goal is to honor God, not to pursue a relationship that may lead either of you into sin.
If you are already married to ###, then we rejoice and pray for your union to be strengthened in Christ. May your marriage be a reflection of Christ’s love for His Church, as described in Ephesians 5:22-33. But if you are not married, we urge you to seek the Lord’s guidance in how to conduct this relationship in a way that honors Him—whether that means setting boundaries, stepping back, or praying for ### from a distance while trusting God with the outcome.
Now, let us pray together for ### and for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up ### to Your throne of grace. Lord, You are the God who reveals Yourself to those who seek You, and we ask that You would reveal Yourself to ### in a powerful and undeniable way. Send Your Holy Spirit to fill him, convict him, and draw him into a saving relationship with Jesus Christ. Lord, appear to him in dreams and visions, just as You did for Saul of Tarsus, so that he may know beyond a shadow of doubt that Jesus is Lord. Break every chain of darkness in his life, and let the light of Your truth shine brightly in his heart, mind, and soul. May he encounter You in such a real way that his life is forever transformed for Your glory.
Father, we also lift up this sister who is praying for ###. Give her wisdom, discernment, and a heart that is fully surrendered to Your will. If this relationship is not aligned with Your Word, we ask that You would convict her and guide her into righteousness. Help her to see any areas where she may be compromising Your standards, and give her the strength to honor You above all else. If she is not married to ###, we pray that You would guard her heart and her body, keeping her pure and blameless before You. Let her be a light for Christ in ###’s life, but always in a way that reflects Your holiness and truth.
Lord, if it is Your will for ### to come to salvation, we pray that You would use this sister as a vessel of Your love and truth. Give her the right words, the right prayers, and the right gifts to share with him, but always in a way that points him to You and not to herself. May her life be a testimony of Your grace, and may ### see Jesus in her in a way that draws him to repentance and faith.
We rebuked any spirit of deception, confusion, or worldly desire that may be influencing this relationship. Let Your truth prevail, and let Your will be done in both of their lives. If this relationship is not of You, we pray that You would bring clarity and conviction, leading them both into paths of righteousness. If it is Your will for them to be united in marriage, we pray that You would prepare them both, sanctify them, and bring it to pass in Your perfect timing and way.
Father, we ask all of these things in the precious and mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. May Your will be done, and may You receive all the glory. Amen.
