We come before the throne of grace with urgency and fervent hearts, lifting up this request in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have boldness and access to the Father. How beautiful it is to see such passionate intercession for this man’s soul, for we know that the Lord desires all to come to repentance and the knowledge of the truth. Yet we must also address the heart behind these prayers, for while the zeal is commendable, we must ensure that our petitions align with the will of God and the purity of His Word, not our own desires or emotional longings.
First, we rejoice that you have invoked the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved. *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). This man’s salvation is of utmost importance, and we cry out for the Holy Spirit to convict him of sin, righteousness, and judgment, drawing him into a saving relationship with Jesus Christ. May the Lord break every chain of Islam that binds him, for *"no one can serve two masters"* (Matthew 6:24, WEB), and the gods of this world are no gods at all. *"You shall have no other gods before me."* (Exodus 20:3, WEB). We pray that every false teaching, every idol, and every stronghold of deception be shattered by the power of the cross, for *"the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ"* (2 Corinthians 10:4-5, WEB).
We also pray for deliverance from the snares of lust, pornography, and sexual sin, for these are grievous before the Lord. *"Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."* (1 Corinthians 6:18-20, WEB). May the Lord break the addiction to the mobile phone and social media if it is feeding sin, and may He replace it with a hunger for His Word and His presence.
Yet we must address a matter of great concern in this prayer: the focus on this man’s affections toward *###* and the desire for an earthly marital bond. While marriage is a holy and beautiful covenant ordained by God, we must examine whether this request stems from a pure desire for his salvation or from a personal longing for companionship. The Bible warns us, *"Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart."* (Psalm 37:4, WEB). But we must first ensure that our desires are aligned with His will, not our own. If this man is not a believer, the Word is clear: *"Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?"* (2 Corinthians 6:14, WEB). A marriage between a believer and an unbeliever is not what God desires, for how can two walk together unless they are agreed? (Amos 3:3).
We do not say this to discourage, but to redirect the heart toward what is eternal. If this man is to be your husband, it must first be established in Christ. Pray for his salvation *first*—that he would surrender fully to Jesus, be baptized, and walk in obedience to the Lord. Only then can there be any godly discussion of marriage, for *"a wife is bound by law for as long as her husband lives; but if the husband is dead, she is free to be married to whomever she desires, only in the Lord."* (1 Corinthians 7:39, WEB). The "only in the Lord" is key—marriage must be between two believers, fully submitted to Christ.
We also notice the repeated emphasis on his love for *###*—your happiness, your fulfillment, your joy in him. While it is natural to desire love, we must be cautious that we are not making an idol of marriage or of this man. Our ultimate joy and fulfillment must be found in Christ alone. *"Whom have I in heaven but you? There is no one on earth whom I desire besides you."* (Psalm 73:25, WEB). If we seek a spouse more than we seek Jesus, we have misplaced our worship. Let us pray that the Lord would so satisfy you in Himself that any desire for marriage is secondary to your devotion to Him.
Finally, we must address the absence of surrender in this prayer. While we are to pray boldly, we must also pray, *"Not my will, but yours be done"* (Luke 22:42, WEB). We cannot demand that the Lord force this man’s heart toward you, for love that is coerced is not love at all. The Lord may have a different plan—one that brings you a godly husband who is already walking with Christ, or one that calls you to a season of singleness for His glory. We must trust His sovereignty, for *"the heart of man plans his course, but Yahweh establishes his steps."* (Proverbs 16:9, WEB).

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this man who is bound by the chains of Islam, sin, and darkness. Lord, we ask that You would shatter every false belief, every idol, and every stronghold in his life. Send Your Holy Spirit to convict him of sin and draw him into a saving relationship with Jesus Christ. Let him encounter You in dreams, visions, and waking moments—so powerfully that he cannot deny Your truth. Break the power of lust, pornography, and addiction in his life, and set him free from the snares of the enemy. *"It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery."* (Galatians 5:1, WEB).
Lord, we also lift up the one praying this request. We ask that You would guard their heart from idolatry—whether it be the idol of this man’s affections or the idol of marriage itself. Fill them with such love for You, Jesus, that every other desire pales in comparison. If it is Your will for this man to be saved and to one day walk in a godly marriage with this believer, then prepare both hearts for that covenant. But if it is not Your will, give them the grace to surrender and trust Your perfect plan. *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* (Proverbs 3:5-6, WEB).
We rebuke any spirit of manipulation, control, or selfish desire in these prayers. May every request be purified by Your fire, Lord, so that only what aligns with Your will remains. We ask for divine connections, yes—but only those that honor You. We ask for love, yes—but only the love that flows from a heart fully surrendered to Christ.
Finally, Lord, we pray for protection over this situation. Guard against emotional entanglements that are not of You. Give wisdom, discernment, and patience. May both parties seek You first, above all else. *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* (Matthew 6:33, WEB).
