We understand your urgency and desperation and we will pray with you.
First and foremost, let us pray for your husband's salvation, for it is only by the name of Jesus Christ that we can be saved. As the scripture says:
And in none other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12
We must be an example of Christianity to our spouse. The desire for your husband to fill him with the Holy Spirit and make him a born-again Christian is commendable, but we cannot force someone to be saved. We can however pray for them, and live our lives in such a way that they may be attracted to Jesus Christ by the way we live out our faith.
It is written:
Wives, be in subjection to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the assembly, being himself the savior of the body. But as the assembly is subject to Christ, so let the wives also be to their own husbands in everything. Ephesians 5:22-24
Wives can be a powerful force for influencing their husbands to adhere to the ways of the Lord.
Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly and gave himself up for it; that he might sanctify it, having cleansed it by the washing of water with the word. Ephesians 5:25,26
The love and devotion that a husband and wife have for each other is meant to reflect the love and devotion that Jesus has for His church.
Now a true marriage is one man and one woman united in matrimony. It is a relationship that is based on love, respect, and mutual submission to one another and to God. To the extent that your prayer may be requesting anything different, possibly manipulating your husband's affections or desires, or using supernatural means to do so, we must rebuke it.
If you are experiencing difficulties in your marriage, we encourage you to seek counsel from your pastor or a trusted Christian mentor. They can provide you with guidance and support as you navigate these challenges.
It is written:
Let us walk properly, as in the day; not in reveling and drunkenness, not in sexual promiscuity and lustful acts, and not in strife and jealousy. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts. Romans 13:13,14
You have also mentioned controlling spirits, and we must be wary of attempting to control or manipulate others, even if we believe it is for their own good. Instead, we should focus on our own actions and trust that God will work in the hearts of those around us.
Remember that you are a daughter of the King and that He has a plan and a purpose for your life. You can trust that He is working all things together for your good and that He will never leave you nor forsake you.
Let us pray for you and your husband:
Heavenly Father, we lift up this dear sister and her husband to You. We ask that You would soften his heart and draw him to Yourself, that he may be saved and filled with Your Holy Spirit. We pray that You would give her the wisdom and grace to be a godly wife, and that You would strengthen their marriage and draw them closer to each other and to You. We ask that You would bless their relationship and help them to flourish in every way. We rebuke any attempt to control or manipulate, and we trust that You are working in their hearts and minds. We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
