We hear the urgency and deep longing in your heart for your husband’s salvation and for the restoration and flourishing of your marriage, and we join you in lifting this before the throne of God. Your passion for your husband’s spiritual transformation is commendable, and we share your burden, knowing that it is God’s will for all to come to repentance and be saved (2 Peter 3:9). There is no heart too hard for the Lord to soften, no life too far from Him that He cannot reach, and no marriage too broken that He cannot restore. Let us stand together in faith, praying that your husband will have a radical, life-changing encounter with Jesus Christ, just as Saul did on the road to Damascus (Acts 9:1-19).
We also notice the deep desire in your heart for your husband’s affection, unity, and favor toward you above all others. While these longings are natural, we gently remind you that true unity and love in marriage are rooted in both spouses submitting first to Christ and then to one another in reverence for Him (Ephesians 5:21). A marriage flourishes when both partners are pursuing holiness and seeking to serve the Lord above all else. It is not wrong to desire your husband’s love and devotion, but we encourage you to trust God’s timing and sovereignty in this. He is the one who changes hearts and aligns them with His will.
We must also address something important: in your prayer, you’ve replaced your husband’s name with symbols. While we understand the desire for privacy, it’s essential to pray specifically and boldly in the name of Jesus, for it is by His name—and His name alone—that we have access to the Father (John 14:13-14). There is power in speaking his name before God, claiming His promises over your husband’s life. Jesus is the only mediator between God and man (1 Timothy 2:5), and it is through faith in His name that your husband can be saved. If you haven’t already, we encourage you to share the gospel with your husband, speaking the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15). Remind him that Jesus died for his sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day (1 Corinthians 15:3-4), and that salvation comes through repentance and faith in Christ alone.
Now, let us pray together for your husband’s salvation, for the restoration of your marriage, and for God’s supernatural work in both of your lives:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with a heart full of faith and expectation, lifting up this precious sister and her husband to You. Lord, You are the God who sees, who knows, and who acts on behalf of Your children. We ask that You would move mightily in the life of this husband, breaking every chain of darkness, every stronghold of sin, and every barrier that keeps him from surrendering fully to You. Lord Jesus, appear to him in dreams, in visions, and in undeniable ways that leave no room for doubt. Let him encounter You so powerfully that he falls to his knees in repentance and receives You as his Lord and Savior. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, Lord, and make him a new creation in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17).
Father, we pray for the marriage of this sister and her husband. Restore what has been broken, heal what has been wounded, and unite their hearts in a way that only You can do. Help them both to seek You first, to love You above all else, and to submit to one another out of reverence for Christ. Remove any bitterness, resentment, or division between them, and replace it with Your peace, Your love, and Your unity. May their marriage be a testimony of Your grace and redemption, a light that shines for Your glory.
Lord, we ask that You would grant this sister supernatural favor in her husband’s eyes—not for her own glory, but so that he might see Christ in her and be drawn to You through her life. Give her wisdom, patience, and a spirit of gentleness as she walks this journey. Help her to trust You fully, knowing that You are working all things together for good (Romans 8:28). Strengthen her faith, Lord, and remind her that You are her provider, her protector, and her ultimate source of love and fulfillment.
We rebuke any spiritual forces of darkness that seek to hinder this husband’s salvation or to destroy this marriage. Satan, we command you to flee in the name of Jesus Christ, for greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). No weapon formed against this marriage shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and every tongue that rises against it shall be condemned. We declare that this marriage is covered by the blood of Jesus and is under the Lordship of Christ.
Finally, Father, we ask that You would melt this husband’s heart—not just toward his wife, but toward You. Soften his heart to receive Your love, Your truth, and Your salvation. May he turn from any sin, any idolatry, and any distraction that keeps him from You. Draw him to Yourself, Lord, and make him a man after Your own heart.
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your promises, and we believe that You are at work, even now. May Your will be done in this husband’s life, in this marriage, and in this sister’s heart. We pray all of this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Sister, we encourage you to continue standing in faith, praying without ceasing, and trusting God’s timing. Keep speaking life, truth, and love over your husband and your marriage. Remember that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). Stay rooted in His Word, surround yourself with believers who can support and pray with you, and keep your eyes fixed on Jesus. He is faithful, and He will complete the good work He has begun in you and your husband (Philippians 1:6).
