We hear the urgency and deep longing in your heart and we join with you in bringing this before the Lord in Jesus' name, and we thank you for calling upon the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father.

We want to gently and lovingly speak truth over this prayer, because we care for you and want God's very best for you. Your desire to have every part of you be fully surrendered to Jesus Christ is beautiful and right, and we affirm that longing. We also hear your deep desire for this man to be your husband and to cherish you fully and abundantly. While that desire for a godly marriage is good, we must lovingly rebuke the way this request is framed as demanding that God must make this man feel a certain way now and forever. Scripture teaches that prayer is not an incantation to control God or to control another person's will, but humble submission to our Father's perfect will. Jesus teaches us to pray Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven in Matthew 6:10 and we are reminded in 1 John 5:14 that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. You quoted ask and you will receive, which is true in Matthew 7:7, but that promise is always within the context of God's will and God's glory, not our demands. We are also taught in Matthew 6:7 not to use vain repetitions, thinking we will be heard for our many words, but to trust that our Father knows what we need and hears the sincere cry of a single faithful prayer.

We also want to encourage you in biblical truth about marriage. We believe in the sanctity of marriage as a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman, and we strongly endorse marriage that honors God. A boyfriend or girlfriend relationship should be seen as courtship with the goal of marriage to another Christian believer, built on genuine, freely given love, purity, and commitment to Christ first. True love cannot be manufactured or forced by prayer to make someone feel something, it must be freely chosen and grown through God's leading. If this man is to be your husband, that must come through God's sovereign leading in both of your hearts, with mutual faith in Christ, purity, and a shared desire to honor God. If there is any sexual intimacy outside of marriage, scripture calls that fornication and we would urge repentance and to pursue purity going forward, for marriage is honorable in all and the bed undefiled in Hebrews 13:4.

We encourage you to delight yourself in the Lord first and trust Him with this relationship. Psalm 37:4 says Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. And Proverbs 3:5-6 says Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. God's best for you is a marriage where you are both fully devoted to Jesus and choose each other freely in love, not one where feelings are coerced.

We pray together with you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister to Your throne of grace. Lord, we thank You for her hunger to have every part of her life surrendered to You, make her more and more like Jesus, fill her with Your Holy Spirit, transform her heart and mind to reflect Your love and holiness. We ask that You be Lord over every part of her. We lift up this man she loves and desires to marry. Lord, You know his heart, You know her heart, and You know what is best for them both. If it is Your will for them to be joined together as husband and wife in a godly marriage that honors You, we pray You would draw them both closer to Jesus first, that You would cultivate genuine, sincere, and freely given love between them, and that You would make Your will clear in a way that is abundantly confirmed and pure. If this is not Your will, we pray You would give her peace to accept Your perfect plan, comfort her heart, and guard her from striving or despair, trusting that You work all things together for good for those who love You in Romans 8:28. Help her to rest in Your timing and Your goodness, to pursue courtship in a way that is holy and honors marriage, and to seek a spouse who is a faithful believer in Christ. Give her patience, hope, and assurance that You hear her and love her deeply. We pray this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.

We encourage you to continue to seek the Lord daily, to abide in His Word, and to surrender this desire fully to Him, trusting that His will is always the very best thing that could ever happen to you.

We hear the urgency in your prayer and how deeply you long to be cherished by your husband and to have a marriage where love is both spoken and shown every day. That longing to be fully seen and treasured matters to God.

We are praying with you for your marriage to grow in openness and tenderness. One thing that has helped many couples we walk with is learning to keep hearts open and engaged with each other, rather than drifting into just living alongside one another. It takes time, and it grows as each person feels safe to share honestly and to listen well.

A small step that may help in this season is to choose one quiet moment to share with your husband, in simple words, one way you feel most loved when he expresses it, and to thank him when you notice it. At the same time, keep bringing your deepest hopes for your marriage to Jesus each day, letting Him steady your heart as you wait and love.

Father, we lift this wife and her husband to You. Draw each of them close to Jesus and close to each other. Teach them to love with open hearts, to speak kindly and to show love faithfully, and give them wisdom and patience for each day ahead. Guide their marriage according to Your will and fill their home with Your peace. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your urgent and repeated cry has been heard and we have carried it before the Lord with you, entreating His mercy for you and for your husband.

We join you in praying first and above all that your husband may know the salvation which is in Jesus Christ alone. The Scripture says, Whoever believes on Him shall not be ashamed. There is no other foundation laid in Zion, and there is no other way to be saved but by looking unto Jesus and trusting in Him with the whole heart. We pray that the grace of faith may be given to him in this very hour, that he may look unto Christ and be saved, that he may believe on that blessed Person and be brought from under the cloud of wrath into the light of divine love. To believe on Him is to trust Him, to leave the whole matter of present and eternal salvation in His hands with unquestioning confidence, and we ask the Lord to work this in him by His Holy Spirit.

We pray also for your marriage, which God has ordained as a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman. May the Lord make it to abound in that love which is born of His own eternal love toward us. When Christ dwells in the heart, love abounds, and it shows itself not in words only but in deeds of grace, in constancy, in tenderness and in fidelity. We ask that if it be according to His good will, your husband may sincerely and genuinely cherish you, and may tell you and show you in every way that you are dear to him, and that this love may abide and remain constant, not for a moment only but now and always, as Christ loves His own.

We encourage you to continue in simple faith and prayer, to look unto Jesus yourself and to rest in His abounding love. He values your love toward Him and He hears the prayer of faith. Cast your burden upon Him who has said, Ask and ye shall receive, and leave the answer in His wise and loving hands, trusting that He will do what is best for your souls and for His glory.

We have prayed that the Lord will reveal Christ to your husband, that He will teach him to know Him, to trust Him, to love Him and to follow Him, and that your home may be filled with the perfume of that love which is a spark of the eternal flame of God's love for you. May it never be quenched, but may it grow and deepen as you both walk together in the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Father, look in mercy upon this wife and upon her husband. Save him by Thy grace through faith in Christ Jesus. Let him see the stream flowing from Thy wounds and find redemption there. Let Thy love constrain him and make him new. Bless this marriage and make it honourable and faithful before Thee, that in it Thy name may be glorified. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who is our only salvation. Amen.
