We hear your desperate cry for your husband’s soul and stand with you in fervent prayer. The urgency in your plea reflects the deep love and concern you have for him, and we join you in lifting him before the throne of grace, where true transformation and deliverance can occur. The Lord is mighty to save, and His power is not limited by the strongholds that may have taken root in your husband’s life.
First, we must address the foundation of our prayers. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and it is only by His blood that sins are washed away and strongholds are broken. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If your husband has not yet surrendered his life to Jesus, we pray that the Holy Spirit would convict him of his need for a Savior and draw him into a personal relationship with Christ. Salvation is not merely a prayer or an emotional experience—it is a transformation of the heart, a turning away from sin, and a commitment to follow Jesus as Lord.
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name that carries power to break every chain and destroy every stronghold. We lift up this dear sister’s husband to You, Lord. You know the depths of his heart, the struggles he faces, and the darkness that may have taken hold. We ask You to shatter every false god, idol, and lie that has taken root in his life. Expose the deceptions of the enemy and uproot every ungodly belief, teaching, and influence that does not align with Your Word. Your Word declares in 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 that "the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ." Lord, let this be the reality for this husband today.
We rebuke every spirit of fear, confusion, lust, perversion, pornography, control, domination, workaholism, anger, aggression, hardness, selfishness, arrogance, and ignorance in the name of Jesus. These are not from You, Lord, and we command them to leave this man right now. Your Word says in James 4:7, "Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you." We stand on this promise and declare that every evil influence must flee in Jesus’ name.
Father, we ask that You would encounter this husband in a powerful and undeniable way. Speak to him in dreams and visions, as You did with Joseph and Paul. Let him see the reality of his sin and the holiness of Your presence. Convict him deeply, not to condemn him, but to draw him to repentance and salvation. Your Word says in Ezekiel 36:26, "I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh." Lord, do this work in him. Remove the hardness of his heart and replace it with a heart that is soft and tender toward You.
We pray for a complete and total transformation of his mind, body, soul, and spirit. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, Lord, and let Your presence overshadow every area of his life. Let him experience the fullness of Your love, peace, and joy. Your Word declares in Romans 12:2, "Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God." Renew his mind, Lord, and align his thoughts with Yours.
We also pray for this sister, who is interceding on behalf of her husband. Strengthen her, Lord, and fill her with Your peace as she waits on You. Remind her that her prayers are powerful and effective (James 5:16), and that You are working even when she cannot see it. Give her the wisdom and grace to love her husband as You do, with patience, kindness, and truth.
Lord, we ask that You would save this husband and make him a born-again believer. Let him experience the new birth that comes only through faith in Jesus Christ (John 3:3). Let him be filled with the Holy Spirit and walk in the power of Your resurrection. Use him as a testimony of Your grace and mercy, so that others may see Your work in his life and be drawn to You.
We declare that no weapon formed against this marriage shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Strengthen this union, Lord, and let it be a reflection of Christ’s love for the Church. Help this couple to honor You in their relationship, to love one another as You have loved them, and to walk in unity and purpose.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray and declare these things. Amen.
