We hear your desperate cry for your husband’s soul, and we join you in lifting him before the throne of grace with urgency and fervent faith. The Lord sees your tears and hears the longing of your heart for his salvation and transformation. We stand in agreement with you, declaring that no stronghold, no deception, and no resistance can withstand the power of the Holy Spirit when He moves in might and mercy.
First, we must address the foundation of all prayer—it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Your husband’s salvation and encounter with Jesus must be rooted in the truth of the Gospel: that Jesus died for his sins, rose again, and offers eternal life to all who repent and believe in Him. We pray that the eyes of his heart would be opened to this truth, that he would see his need for a Savior, and that he would surrender his life fully to Christ.
Scripture tells us, "For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ" (2 Corinthians 10:4-5). We rebuke every spirit of deception, hardness of heart, or resistance that may be blinding your husband to the truth. We command these strongholds to be torn down in the mighty name of Jesus, and we declare that his mind, body, soul, and spirit would be flooded with the light of Christ.
We also pray for a divine encounter that leaves no doubt in his heart. The Lord is able to reveal Himself in dreams, visions, and supernatural ways, just as He did for Saul on the road to Damascus (Acts 9:1-19). We ask that Jesus would appear to your husband in a way that is undeniable, irresistible, and life-changing. Let the fear of the Lord fall upon him, and let his heart melt in the presence of the One who loves him with an everlasting love (Jeremiah 31:3). May he be so overwhelmed by the goodness, holiness, and grace of Jesus that he can do nothing but fall to his knees in repentance and surrender.
We pray that the Holy Spirit would fill him to overflowing, convicting him of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8). Let the Spirit’s fire burn away every impurity, every lie, and every chain that has kept him bound. We declare that he will be a new creation in Christ, old things passed away and all things become new (2 Corinthians 5:17). May his heart turn fully toward you, his wife, in love, honor, and godly devotion, and may your marriage be a testimony to the redeeming power of Jesus.
We also lift you up in this time, sister in Christ. The waiting and the wrestling in prayer can be exhausting, but the Lord is your strength. Isaiah 40:31 reminds us, "But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint." Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, you will reap if you do not faint (Galatians 6:9). Keep standing on the promises of God, keep declaring His Word over your husband, and keep trusting that the Lord is at work even when you cannot see it.
Let us pray together now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith and urgency, lifting up this precious husband into Your mighty hands. Lord, we thank You that You are a God who hears, a God who saves, and a God who transforms lives in an instant. We ask that You would move in power in this man’s life right now. Break every chain, shatter every stronghold, and melt every resistance in his heart. Let him see Jesus in a way that leaves no room for doubt—whether in a dream, a vision, or a supernatural encounter that shakes him to his core.
Holy Spirit, we ask that You would fill him with Your presence, convict him of his need for a Savior, and draw him irresistibly to the cross. Let the blood of Jesus wash over him, cleansing him from all unrighteousness. Let the fire of Your Spirit burn away every impurity, every lie, and every sin that has kept him from You. We declare that he is not too far gone, that no sin is too great for Your grace, and that no heart is too hard for Your love to soften.
Lord, we rebuke every spirit of deception, rebellion, or hardness that has taken root in his life. We command these spirits to flee in the name of Jesus, and we declare that Your light will flood every dark corner of his mind and heart. Let him be so overwhelmed by Your love that he can do nothing but surrender his life to You. Let him experience the depth of Your forgiveness, the power of Your resurrection, and the joy of Your salvation.
We also pray for this marriage, Lord. Restore what has been broken, heal what has been wounded, and renew the love and commitment between this husband and wife. Let their marriage be a reflection of Christ and the Church, a testimony to Your redeeming power. Strengthen this wife as she waits and prays, Lord. Fill her with Your peace, Your hope, and Your endurance. Let her trust in You grow deeper each day, and let her see the fruit of her prayers in Your perfect timing.
Father, we thank You that You are faithful to Your promises. We trust that You are working even now, and we declare that this husband will be saved, transformed, and filled with Your Spirit. We ask all of this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, the Name above all names, the only Name by which we are saved. Amen.
