We join with you in this urgent burden for your marriage and we bring your husband and your marriage before the Lord together in Jesus' name, for it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only in His name that we can be saved and heard, as it is written Acts 4:12 There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved.

We hear the deep pain and jealousy and fear in your heart and we understand your desire to see every ungodly tie completely severed. God Himself ordained marriage to be a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman, and He calls it holy. What therefore God has joined together, don't let man tear apart Matthew 19:6. Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled: but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers Hebrews 13:4. You shall not commit adultery Exodus 20:14. If your husband is entertaining any relationship, emotional or physical, with any other woman, keeping photographs, selfies, messages or memories of another woman while he is married to you, that is sin before God and a betrayal of the covenant he made with you and with the Lord. We must lovingly rebuke that sin, for Jesus said Everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart Matthew 5:28, and we are commanded to Flee sexual immorality 1 Corinthians 6:18. He who commits adultery with a woman is void of understanding. He who does it destroys his own soul Proverbs 6:32.

We also gently encourage you that while your passion to decree and declare is understandable, our power is not in commanding God but in humbly petitioning our sovereign Father according to His will, trusting Him to act in His perfect timing and way. We do not control another person's heart or phone by our words, but God can convict, change and renew a heart when there is true repentance. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God Philippians 4:6. And we know Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit Psalm 34:18.

We pray together now for you and for your husband.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this sister and her marriage to You. Lord, You see her anguish and You know every detail of this situation. We ask that You would convict her husband's heart deeply if he is involved in any adultery or lust or ungodly attachment to any other woman. Grant him godly sorrow that leads to repentance, that he would confess his sin to You and to his wife, for If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness 1 John 1:9. Lord, we ask that You would sever every ungodly soul tie and emotional and physical connection he has with any other woman, that it would be completely and permanently broken right now. Put a hatred in his heart for sin and a love for purity and faithfulness. We pray that he would choose to permanently delete every photograph, selfie, message, screen saver and memory that honors another woman above his wife, and that You would cleanse his mind, his emotions, his heart, his phone and his social media, and renew his mind, that he may be transformed by the renewing of your mind Romans 12:2. Help him to love his wife even as Christ also loved the assembly and gave himself up for it Ephesians 5:25, to cherish her, to be faithful to her alone, and to guard his eyes and heart.

Lord, we also pray for this dear wife, pour out Your peace that surpasses all understanding upon her, guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:7. Heal her broken heart, take away fear and torment, and help her to forgive as You have forgiven us, bearing with one another and forgiving each other Colossians 3:13, Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you Ephesians 4:32. Strengthen her to walk in wisdom, to set godly boundaries, to seek wise pastoral and biblical counsel for her marriage, and to trust not in her own decrees but in Your power to restore what the enemy has tried to destroy. For You have said For I hate divorce, says Yahweh Malachi 2:16, and Your desire is reconciliation and holiness.

We ask all of this according to Your will, believing You are able to do far more than we ask, and we place this marriage into Your hands for healing, cleansing and restoration. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord we pray, amen.

We hear how heavy and urgent this feels for you, and how deeply you love your marriage and want it to be faithful and whole. Longing for every tie to anyone else to be completely severed and for every photo, message and memory to be gone right now is an understandable cry when trust has been broken.

That kind of betrayal brings a deep wound, and the ache to make it stop instantly is real. In our experience walking with couples, the healing after infidelity is rarely instant, even when the desire for it to be over is sincere. It usually needs steady, supported steps and a safe person to walk with you, not just trying to manage phones or social media on your own.

If you have someone wise and steady you trust, like a pastor or a Christian counselor, we encourage you to reach out to them soon and let them know what you are carrying. You do not have to hold this alone, and having one trusted support can help you think through wise boundaries and next decisions with clarity and care while you keep praying.

Father, we lift this wife to You and we lift her husband to You. You see her hurt and her longing for a faithful marriage. Bring Your peace where there is turmoil, Your truth where there is confusion, and Your wisdom for each next step. Work in both hearts according to Your will and draw this family toward wholeness and faithfulness. Guard and comfort her in the days ahead. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your urgent and sorrowful cry has been heard, and we join you in bringing this great burden before the Lord who heals the broken in heart.

There is a great ill here which needs healing. The marriage covenant is holy before God, ordained as the lifelong union of one man and one woman, and all intimacy outside of it is sin in His sight. Scripture speaks plainly that to commit adultery is to sin against God Himself, and it is grievous to Him and wounding to the soul. We cannot ask God to bless what He calls sin, but we can and do ask Him to convict of sin, to forgive sin, and to heal the wounds that sin has made.

Be encouraged that there is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ. Not only His great work upon the cross, but the very leaves of the Tree of Life are for the healing of the nations. The least thing about Christ is healing to the soul. Healing and pardon are placed in happy conjunction in the gospel. When Jesus healed the man taken with the palsy, He first said, Thy sins be forgiven thee, and then He made him whole. Pardon and healing are one in His hand. There is forgiveness for every manner of sin, even adultery and fornication and all uncleanness, through the blood of Christ alone. No sin is beyond the reach of that atoning sacrifice when it is repented of and confessed before God.

We think also of Peter in his fall and his restoration. He denied his Lord and went out and wept bitterly, but the look of Christ severed him from the crowd and from his sin, and the Lord prayed for him that his faith should not fail, and restored him. That same Lord can restore the fallen, can sever the bonds of an unholy attachment, can cleanse the mind and the heart and the life. What is impossible with man is possible with God, whose Spirit convicts of sin and recovers the wanderer by His power.

Let us pray together for you and for your husband.

O Lord God, who seest all things and before whom every secret is open, have mercy upon this wounded home. Lord, we confess that sin has entered where fidelity should dwell, and we ask not that Thou wouldst bless sin, but that Thou wouldst break its power. In Thy mercy, bring deep conviction and godly sorrow for sin to this husband, that he may turn from this adulterous way with true repentance. Sever, we pray Thee, this unlawful relationship completely and permanently, and purge his heart, his mind, his memory and his life from all that defiles. Cleanse his hands and his devices of every photograph and message and remnant of this sin, and set his affections wholly upon Thee and upon the covenant he made before Thee. Heal this wife's broken heart, bind up her wounds, and give her grace to look to Christ alone for pardon and healing. Let Thy gospel be taught and heard in this home, for faith cometh by hearing, and healing cometh with Thy Word. Restore what sin has broken, and let Thy forgiving and healing grace reign. We ask this not as those who decree upon Thee, but as those who humbly entreat Thy sovereign mercy, trusting in the name and merits of Jesus Christ alone, our only Saviour and Physician. Amen.

Continue to seek the Lord in prayer and in His Word, and cast your care upon Him who cares for you. He who has begun a work of grace can make the nature other than it was before, and make the soul fresh and whole again by His healing leaves.
