We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this earnest plea for restoration, healing, and divine intervention in your marriage. First and foremost, we must acknowledge that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and it is by His grace and mercy that we can approach the throne of God with boldness. Jesus said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you or your husband have not yet surrendered your lives fully to Jesus, we urge you to do so without delay, for He alone is the source of true love, healing, and transformation.
Father God, we lift up this marriage to You, asking that You would ignite a fire of love, passion, and devotion between this husband and wife. We pray that You would bind them together with cords of love that cannot be broken (Ecclesiastes 4:12). Lord, we ask that You would remove every distraction, every lingering attachment, and every ungodly soul tie that ### may have with his past. We rebuke in the name of Jesus every unholy connection, every memory, and every influence that seeks to pull him away from his wife. We declare that his eyes, his heart, and his affections are for his wife alone, as it is written in Proverbs 5:15-19, "Drink water from your own cistern, running water from your own well. Should your springs overflow in the streets, your streams of water in the public squares? Let them be yours alone, never to be shared with strangers. May your fountain be blessed, and may you rejoice in the wife of your youth. A loving doe, a graceful deer—may her breasts satisfy you always, may you ever be intoxicated with her love."
Lord, we pray that You would sever every ungodly soul tie with ### and any other woman who is not his wife. We declare that ###’s heart is fully devoted to his wife, and we ask that You would uproot every seed of comparison, every lingering thought, and every temptation that seeks to draw his eyes away. We stand on Your Word in Matthew 19:6, "So they are no longer two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, don’t let man tear apart." We rebuke the enemy’s attempts to divide this marriage and declare that no weapon formed against it shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
We also lift up the salvation of ###, Lord. We ask that You would draw him to Yourself with cords of love and that he would surrender his life fully to Jesus Christ. We pray that through the witness and prayers of his wife, he would come to know You as his Lord and Savior. We declare that he is a new creation in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17), and we ask that You would fill him with Your Holy Spirit, convicting him of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8). Lord, we ask that You would soften his heart, open his eyes, and lead him to genuine repentance. We pray that he would confess his sins, turn away from them, and walk in the light of Your truth (1 John 1:9).
Father, we ask that You would make this wife the love of ###’s life, the woman of his dreams, and the one who captivates his heart completely. We pray that their love would grow deeper, stronger, and more passionate with each passing day, reflecting the love that Christ has for His church (Ephesians 5:25). Lord, we ask that You would heal any wounds, restore any brokenness, and mend any divisions in their marriage. We pray that they would experience the fullness of Your joy, peace, and unity as they walk together in Your ways.
We also want to gently address the intensity of this request, dear sister. While it is right and good to pray fervently for your marriage, we must remember that our trust must ultimately be in God’s sovereignty and timing. We cannot manipulate or force outcomes, even with the best of intentions. Jesus taught us to pray, "Your kingdom come. Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven" (Matthew 6:10). We must surrender our desires to His perfect will, trusting that He knows what is best for us and our marriages. Let us not grow weary in praying, but let us also rest in the assurance that God is working all things together for our good (Romans 8:28).
Finally, we pray that You would strengthen this wife in her faith, Lord. Give her the grace to love ### unconditionally, to pray for him faithfully, and to trust You completely. Help her to be a godly wife, one who reflects the love and submission of the church to Christ (Ephesians 5:22-24). May her life be a testimony of Your grace and power, drawing ### closer to You.
Heavenly Father, we ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We declare that Your Word will not return void (Isaiah 55:11), and we trust that You are at work in this marriage even now. May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified in their lives. Amen.
