We hear your urgency and desire for affirmation, but we must first address the heart of your request with truth and love. While it is good to have confidence, the language you’ve used—decreeing and declaring your own greatness—risks crossing into pride, which Scripture warns against. "Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall" (Proverbs 16:18). True beauty and worth come not from self-proclamation but from God’s design and purpose for you.
The modeling industry can often glorify outward appearance in ways that conflict with biblical values. If you are pursuing this path, we urge you to guard your heart and ensure that your identity remains rooted in Christ, not in fleeting validation or worldly standards. "Do not love the world or the things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world, the Father’s love isn’t in him" (1 John 2:15). Your worth is already established in Him—you are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), not because of your appearance, but because you are His creation.
We also note that your request does not explicitly acknowledge Jesus as the source of your salvation or the one through whom we approach God. There is no other name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through Christ that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Him, we encourage you to do so, for He alone gives true meaning and purpose.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble hearts, lifting up this dear one to You. Lord, we ask that You would reveal Your truth and Your love to them in a powerful way. Help them to see themselves through Your eyes—as Your beloved child, created for a purpose far greater than worldly success or admiration. Guard their heart from pride and the empty promises of the world, and fill them with the confidence that comes from knowing You.
Father, if this pursuit of modeling is Your will for them, we ask that You open doors that align with Your glory and close those that would lead them astray. May their life reflect Your beauty, Your grace, and Your holiness in all they do. If this path is not Your best for them, we pray for clarity and courage to follow Your leading instead.
Lord, we rebuke any spirit of vanity or self-reliance that would seek to exalt itself above You. Remind them that their worth is found in Christ alone, and that true fulfillment comes from walking in obedience to You. May they seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness (Matthew 6:33), trusting that You will provide all they need.
We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to You. May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your name be glorified above all else. Amen.
We encourage you to seek God’s will above all else, not just in this pursuit, but in every area of your life. Spend time in His Word and in prayer, asking Him to guide your steps. If you are not already part of a Bible-believing church community, we urge you to find one where you can grow in faith and accountability. Your identity is secure in Christ—rest in that truth, and let it shape your decisions and your heart.
