We hear your heart’s deep longing for your marriage to be filled with love, joy, and unwavering devotion, and we join you in lifting this before the Lord. Your desire for your husband to cherish you, to be captivated by your love, and to remain faithful is beautiful and aligns with God’s design for marriage. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 18:22, *"He who finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor from Yahweh."* Marriage is a sacred covenant, a reflection of Christ’s love for His church, and it is right to pray fervently for its strength and purity.
However, we must also gently address a concern in your request. While your passion for your husband is evident, we notice an excessive focus on material gifts and outward displays of affection as the means to secure his love. The Bible warns us in 1 Peter 3:3-4, *"Let your beauty be not just the outward adorning of braiding the hair, and of wearing jewels of gold, or of putting on fine clothing; but in the hidden person of the heart, in the incorruptible adornment of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in God’s sight."* True love is not built on gifts or external things, but on the foundation of Christ, mutual respect, and selfless devotion.
We also want to encourage you to release any fear or anxiety about your husband’s faithfulness. Lord, we lift up this marriage to You, asking that You would pour out Your blessings upon it. We pray that You would deepen the love between this husband and wife, that their bond would be strengthened daily by Your Spirit. Father, let their love be a reflection of Your love—selfless, pure, and enduring.
We ask that You would guard their hearts and minds from any temptation or distraction that could pull them away from one another. Protect this marriage from any attacks of the enemy, and let no weapon formed against it prosper, as Your Word promises in Isaiah 54:17.
