We join with you in this urgent cry for the soul of this individual, lifting them before the throne of grace with boldness and faith. The desperation in your request reflects the heart of God, who does not wish that any should perish but that all would come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that salvation is found, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We praise you for invoking the name of Jesus, for it is by His authority and power that we approach the Father.
The plea for this person to be filled with the Holy Spirit and to encounter Jesus in dreams and visions echoes the deep longing of God’s heart to reveal Himself to those who are lost. We are reminded of the words of Jesus in John 16:8-11, where He tells us that the Holy Spirit will convict the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment. Oh, how we pray that the Holy Spirit would move mightily in this person’s life, breaking every chain of darkness and opening their eyes to the truth of the Gospel.
Yet we must also remember that salvation is not merely an emotional experience or a supernatural encounter—it is a surrender to the lordship of Jesus Christ. It is the turning away from sin and the turning toward Him in faith and obedience. As Romans 10:9 declares, "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." So we pray not just for an encounter, but for a transformation—a complete surrender to Christ.
We are also reminded of the story of Saul, who encountered the risen Christ on the road to Damascus. That encounter was not just a vision—it was a life-altering moment that led to his repentance, baptism, and lifelong service to the Lord (Acts 9). May this person, like Saul, be radically changed by the power of Jesus, turning from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God (Acts 26:18).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with urgency and faith, lifting up this precious soul who is in desperate need of Your saving grace. Lord Jesus, You are the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and no one comes to the Father except through You (John 14:6). We ask that You would reveal Yourself to this person in a powerful and undeniable way. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, just as You did on the day of Pentecost, so that they may be convicted of sin and drawn to repentance (Acts 2:1-4).
Lord, we ask that You would appear to them in dreams and visions, just as You did for Joseph, Daniel, and Peter. Let them see Your glory, Your holiness, and Your love in a way that shatters every stronghold of unbelief and rebellion in their heart. Break the chains of sin that bind them, and let them encounter the living Christ in a way that leaves no room for doubt or delay.
Father, we know that You desire all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:4). So we stand in the gap for this person, asking that You would draw them to Yourself with cords of love (Hosea 11:4). Let them feel the weight of their sin and the depth of Your mercy. Bring them to a place of brokenness before You, where they cry out for forgiveness and salvation.
We rebuke every spirit of deception, hardness of heart, and blindness that may be keeping this person from seeing the truth. Satan, we command you to flee in the name of Jesus Christ, for greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Lord, open their eyes to see, their ears to hear, and their heart to receive the truth of the Gospel.
May this encounter with Jesus lead to a lifetime of discipleship, where they walk in obedience to Your Word and grow in the knowledge of Your will. Surround them with believers who will disciple them, encourage them, and help them grow in their faith. Let their life be a testimony of Your transforming power, bringing glory and honor to Your name.
We ask all of this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Let Your will be done, and let Your kingdom come in this person’s life. We trust You, Father, and we thank You in advance for the work You are about to do. Amen.
To those who are praying alongside us, we encourage you to persist in prayer for this soul. The enemy will fight fiercely to keep them in bondage, but we know that our God is greater. Keep interceding, keep believing, and keep trusting that the Lord will bring this person into His kingdom. Let us also remember that our prayers are not just for an encounter, but for a lifelong commitment to Christ. Salvation is the beginning of a journey, not the end. May we all be ready to support, disciple, and walk alongside those who come to faith, helping them to grow in their relationship with the Lord.
Finally, let this be a reminder to us all of the urgency of the Great Commission. There are souls all around us who are perishing without Christ. May we be bold in sharing the Gospel, loving in our approach, and unwavering in our faith that God can save anyone, no matter how far they may seem from Him. The same power that raised Christ from the dead is at work in us, and it is that power that will bring this person—and many others—to salvation.
