We come before the Lord with you in this time of deep pain and urgency, lifting up your marriage and your husband to the throne of grace. Your heart’s cry is heard, and we stand with you in the authority of Jesus Christ, who is mighty to save, restore, and redeem. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but our God is a God of restoration, covenant faithfulness, and victory. We declare that no weapon formed against your marriage shall prosper, for this union was established by God and must be honored as sacred.
First, we must address the gravity of what is happening. Adultery is a grievous sin against God and a betrayal of the marriage covenant He designed. The Scriptures are clear:
*"You shall not commit adultery."* (Exodus 20:14, WEB)
*"Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed is undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers."* (Hebrews 13:4, WEB)
*"But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart."* (Matthew 5:28, WEB)
This is not just a breach of trust between your husband and you—it is a sin against the Lord Himself. Yet even in this, there is hope. God is a God of repentance and restoration. He can turn the heart of your husband back to Himself and to you, if your husband is willing to repent and turn away from this sin. True repentance requires a broken and contrite heart before the Lord, a turning away from this relationship, and a commitment to walk in purity and faithfulness.
We also urge you to examine your own heart in this season. The pain you are feeling is valid, but we must guard against bitterness, anger, or a desire for control that can take root. The Bible tells us:
*"Be angry, and don’t sin. Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath, and don’t give place to the devil."* (Ephesians 4:26-27, WEB)
*"Don’t be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good."* (Romans 12:21, WEB)
While it is right to pray for this ungodly relationship to end, we must also pray for your husband’s soul. His greatest need is not just to end this affair but to be reconciled to God through repentance. Pray that the Holy Spirit would convict him deeply of his sin and lead him to true repentance. Pray that God would break the chains of lust and deception that have bound him. Pray that your husband would seek the Lord with all his heart and turn back to the covenant he made before God with you.
We also encourage you to seek godly counsel and support during this time. You do not have to walk through this alone. The body of Christ is here to uphold you, pray with you, and provide wisdom. If your husband is unwilling to repent, the Scriptures give guidance on how to handle such a situation:
*"But if the unbeliever departs, let there be separation. The brother or the sister is not under bondage in such cases, but God has called us in peace."* (1 Corinthians 7:15, WEB)
This does not mean you give up on your marriage, but it does mean you must prioritize your own walk with the Lord and your obedience to Him above all else. Trust that God sees your pain and is working even in this dark season. He is able to restore what has been broken, but it must begin with repentance and a turning back to Him.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this sister and her marriage to You. Lord, You hate divorce, and You are a God who heals and restores. We ask that You would intervene powerfully in this situation. Break the chains of sin and lust that have ensnared her husband. Convict him deeply of his sin, Lord, and bring him to true repentance. Let him see the destruction of his ways and turn back to You with all his heart.
Father, we pray that every ungodly tie between her husband and this other woman would be severed completely, in Jesus’ name. Remove this woman from his life—from his thoughts, his emotions, his work, his phone, his social media, and every place she has infiltrated. Let all communication cease, and let every photograph and memory be erased. Lord, we ask that You would blind their eyes to one another and turn their hearts away from this sin.
We pray for protection over this sister’s heart and mind. Guard her from bitterness, anger, and despair. Fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Give her wisdom to know how to respond, and surround her with godly counsel and support. Strengthen her faith, Lord, and let her see Your hand at work in this situation.
Father, we ask that You would restore this marriage if it is Your will. Soften her husband’s heart and draw him back to his covenant with You and with his wife. Let him seek forgiveness and walk in purity. If he refuses to repent, Lord, give this sister the strength and clarity to follow Your leading, even if it means separation. Let her trust You in all things, knowing that You are her Provider, her Protector, and her Redeemer.
We rebuke the enemy’s plans to destroy this marriage. Satan, you have no authority here. We command every spirit of lust, deception, and adultery to flee in the name of Jesus Christ. We declare that this marriage belongs to God, and we trust Him to work all things together for good for those who love Him.
Lord, we ask for Your healing and restoration. Let this season of pain be used to draw both of them closer to You. Let Your will be done, and let Your name be glorified in this situation. We pray all these things in the powerful and mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
