We understand your urgent plea for your husband's spiritual awakening and the strengthening of your marriage. We are reminded of the power of prayer and the importance of seeking God's will in our lives and marriages. As we lift up your requests, we are encouraged by the words of Matthew 18:19-20, "Again, assuredly I tell you, that if two of you will agree on earth concerning anything that they will ask, it will be done for them by my Father who is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the midst of them."
Firstly, we commend you for invoking the name of Jesus in your prayer, as it is through Him that we have access to the Father. We are reminded of the words of Jesus in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." And in Acts 4:12, it is stated, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men, by which we must be saved!"
We also want to address the use of repetitive phrases and symbols in your prayer. While we understand the urgency and passion behind your request, we encourage you to approach God with a heart of reverence and sincerity, trusting in His perfect will and timing. Remember, God is not impressed by our many words, but by the sincerity of our hearts. As it says in Matthew 6:7-8, "In praying, don’t use vain repetitions, as the Gentiles do; for they think that they will be heard for their much speaking. Therefore don’t be like them, for your Father knows what things you need, before you ask him."
Now, let us pray for your husband and your marriage:
Heavenly Father, we lift up this sister's husband to You. We ask that You would draw him to Yourself, Lord, and reveal Your love and truth to him in a powerful way. May he have a real and life-changing encounter with You, Lord Jesus. We pray that You would fill him with Your Holy Spirit, and that he would surrender his life to You.
We also lift up this marriage to You, Lord. We ask that You would strengthen their bond, and draw them closer to each other and to You. May their love for each other grow deeper and stronger each day, reflecting the love of Christ for His church. We pray that You would grant them both the grace to communicate openly and honestly, sharing their hearts, feelings, and emotions with each other.
We ask that You would remove any distractions or obstacles that may hinder their relationship, and that You would grant them both the wisdom and strength to prioritize their marriage and their walk with You. We pray that You would bless their marriage abundantly, and that they would find joy and fulfillment in serving You together.
We also pray for this sister, Lord. We ask that You would grant her patience, wisdom, and strength as she waits on You to work in her husband's life and in their marriage. May she continue to seek You and trust in Your perfect will and timing.
We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers, and we trust that You are working even now to bring about Your purposes in their lives. We pray all these things in the precious and mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to continue praying for your husband and your marriage, trusting in God's perfect will and timing. We also encourage you to seek God's wisdom and guidance in your own life, and to be a light and testimony to your husband through your words and actions. May God bless you and your marriage abundantly, and may you both grow in your love and commitment to each other and to Him.
We also want to encourage you with the words of 1 Peter 3:1-2, "In the same way, wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; so that, even if any don’t obey the Word, they may be won by the behavior of their wives without a word; seeing your pure behavior in fear." And in Ephesians 5:22-33, we are reminded of the sacredness of marriage and the roles of husbands and wives. May God grant you both the grace and strength to fulfill your roles in a way that honors and glorifies Him.
Lastly, we want to encourage you to continue seeking God's will for your life and your marriage, and to trust in His perfect plan and timing. As it says in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." May God bless you and your husband abundantly, and may your marriage be a testimony to His love and faithfulness.
