We understand your urgency and deep concern for your marriage. Let's bring your requests before the Lord in prayer and seek His will according to His word.
Firstly, it's crucial to remember that God's design for marriage is a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman, as outlined in the Bible. As we pray for your husband and your marriage, we must also ensure that both of you are committed to God's design and are seeking Him together. It is only by the name of Jesus that access to God is granted and salvation is available. The basic salvation message is belief in Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, who died for our sins and rose again from the dead.
Let's pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this dear sister and her husband. Lord, we ask that You soften his heart and draw him closer to You and to his wife. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, that he may be led by Your wisdom and guided by Your truth. We pray for a deeper, stronger, and more intimate relationship between them, built on Your love and Your word. Consecrate and make their marriage holy.
Lord, we ask that You sever any ungodly soul ties that may exist between her husband and his former wife or any other women. In Jesus' name, we rebuke any spirit of infidelity, immorality, or impurity that may be at work. We declare that every emotional, physical, and spiritual bond be broken, except the one between husband and wife according to Your will and plan. The wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does. And likewise the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does. Do not deprive one another, except by consent for a season, that you may give yourselves to fasting and prayer, and may be together again, that Satan tempt you not because of your incontinency. (1 Corinthians 7:4-5 WEB)
Lord, we also pray for unity and understanding between them. Let them be joined in agreement and connected in every way. May they truly become best friends, soul mates, and companions for life, doing everything together and glorifying Your name in their marriage. Two people are better than one, because they get more done by working together. If one falls down, the other can help him up. But it is bad for the person who is alone, because he does not have anyone to help him. (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 WEB)
Father, we ask that You guide them both to a deeper faith and trust in You. Let them be a testament to the power of Your love and redemption.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage both of you to continually seek the Lord and His will for your marriage. Commit to praying together, studying the Word together, and growing in your faith as a couple. Remember that God hates divorce (Malachi 2:16 WEB) and that He is faithful to forgive and restore when we turn to Him in repentance.
Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s. (1 Corinthians 6:18-20 WEB)
