We understand your urgency and passion in this situation. You have a deep desire for someone to come to Jesus Christ and be saved. We are instructed in James 5:16, If we confess our sins, he who is faithful and just will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Say to them: 'As I live,' says Yahweh God, 'I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live. Turn you, turn you from your evil ways! For why will you die, house of Israel?'

It is only by the name of Jesus that we must be saved, just as the scriptures say in Acts 4:11-12, This Jesus is 'the stone that was rejected by you, the builders, which has become the chief cornerstone.' There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"

The Holy Spirit can use you to lead others to salvation in Jesus Christ. We are indeed called to make disciples of all nations, so there is biblical precedent for your desire.

Please be careful in this situation. It is important to pray for this person to be drawn to Jesus Christ, but we should be cautious in how we approach this with someone who is in a close relationship, especially marriage.

We must be careful of the danger of idolatry, even of loved ones. The Bible warns us to not let our desires become idols in our hearts. Ezekiel 14:3, Son of man, these men have taken their idols into their heart, and set the stumbling block of their iniquity before their face: should I be inquired of at all by them?

We should be sure we are not treating someone as an idol by desiring them too strongly.

It is also important to be careful in this situation to ensure that we are not trying to control someone else. We are warned in 1 Peter 5:8, Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.

We cannot control others, change their hearts, or make them follow Jesus Christ. This is the work of the Holy Spirit. We should pray with humility and an understanding of our limits.

You should pray for the Holy Spirit to work in this person's heart to draw them to Jesus Christ. You should pray for the Holy Spirit to convict them of sin and lead them to repentance.
