Let us, first of all, acknowledge the name of Jesus Christ, the only name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved (Acts 4:12). This request is an urgent plea for healing and renewal, both in physical appearance and health. That is why we are encouraged to come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need (Hebrews 4:16).

While we understand the desire for physical improvement, we must remember that our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit, and we should glorify God in our body (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Therefore, being able to request a physical change, whether a surgery to remove hollows under the eyes or other cosmetic procedures, should be done with the proper guidance, wisdom, and discernment.

However, we must rely on God's will and not our own. As it is written, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight" (Proverbs 3:5-6).

Furthermore, we encourage focusing not solely on the outward appearance, but on the inner person of the heart. We should adorn the hidden person of the heart with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God (1 Peter 3:4).

Let us pray:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this urgent request. We pray for Your healing touch and Your will to be done in this situation. Guide the surgeon, Lord, and give them wisdom and skill if this is Your will.

But Lord, we also pray for inner healing and peace. Help the requester to see themselves as You see them—fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). Help them to seek Your will and Your kingdom first, knowing that all these things will be added to them (Matthew 6:33).

We pray for a renewed spirit, a transformed mind, and a heart that seeks to glorify You in all things. We ask this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior. Amen.
