We lift this urgent plea to the throne of grace, standing in the gap for your marriage and your husband’s salvation. First, we must address the foundation of all prayer—faith in the name of Jesus Christ, who is the only way to the Father (John 14:6). It is through His blood alone that we have access to God’s throne, and it is by His power that hearts are transformed. We rejoice that you are coming before the Lord in His name, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).
Father God, we come before You with hearts burdened for this dear sister and her husband. Lord, we ask that You would move mightily in his life, drawing him to Yourself with cords of love that cannot be broken. Soften his heart to the conviction of the Holy Spirit, that he may see his need for a Savior and turn to You in genuine repentance. We declare that no man comes to the Father except through Jesus Christ (John 6:44), and we trust that You are working even now to bring him to a place of surrender. Break every chain of unbelief, every stronghold of the enemy, and every lie that has kept him from fully embracing the truth of the Gospel. Let him see the depth of his sin and the even greater depth of Your grace, that he may run to the cross and find forgiveness and new life in Christ.
We also pray for this sister, Lord. Strengthen her faith as she waits on You, and fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Guard her heart from discouragement or impatience, and remind her that Your timing is perfect. Help her to be a living testimony of Your love and holiness, that her husband may see Christ in her and be drawn to the light. Let her words and actions reflect the fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23)—so that her life may be a witness to the transforming power of the Gospel.
Father, we ask that You would deepen the bond between this husband and wife according to Your design for marriage. Let their union be a reflection of Christ and the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33), rooted in love, respect, and mutual submission to You. Remove any distractions, temptations, or influences that would seek to pull their eyes away from one another or from You. Guard their marriage from the schemes of the enemy, and let their love for one another grow stronger each day, anchored in Your love.
Lord, we rebuke any spirit of unbelief, hardness of heart, or resistance to Your will in this husband’s life. We command every lie of the enemy to be silenced, and we declare that the truth of Your Word will prevail. We pray that he would not only confess Jesus as Lord but also walk in obedience to Your commands, growing in faith and holiness. Let his life be a testimony to Your power, and may his salvation be the beginning of a revival in his heart, his home, and beyond.
We also lift up this sister’s desires for their marriage. Father, we ask that You would fan the flame of love between them, that their relationship would flourish in every way—emotionally, spiritually, and physically—according to Your will. Let them find joy and fulfillment in one another, and may their marriage be a beacon of Your love and grace to those around them. Help them to prioritize their relationship with You above all else, that their marriage may be built on the solid rock of Your Word (Matthew 7:24-25).
Lord, we trust that You are working all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). We believe that You hear this prayer and that You are moving even now to answer it. Strengthen this sister’s faith, and let her rest in the assurance that You are faithful to complete the good work You have begun in her and her husband’s lives (Philippians 1:6).
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
