We lift this request before the Lord with heavy hearts, for while the desire for love, connection, and marriage is beautiful and God-given, we must first examine whether this relationship aligns with His holy and perfect will. The Bible makes it clear that marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, designed by God for His glory (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6). We must ask: Are you and this person both committed followers of Christ, seeking to honor Him in every aspect of your lives, including your relationship? If not, we urge you to pause and seek the Lord’s guidance, for "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14).

The passion and longing expressed in this request are understandable, but we must also address the reality of sin and the need for purity. The Bible warns against sexual immorality, which includes any sexual activity outside of marriage (1 Corinthians 6:18-20, Hebrews 13:4). If this relationship involves physical intimacy before marriage, we must rebuke this sin in Jesus’ name and urge repentance. True love waits and honors God’s design for marriage. "Flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s" (1 Corinthians 6:18-20).

We also notice that this request does not explicitly acknowledge the name of Jesus Christ as the only mediator between God and humanity. There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to do so now. Confess your sins, believe in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, and receive the gift of eternal life (Romans 10:9-10). "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16).

Now, let us pray for God’s will to be done in this situation, for His wisdom to guide you, and for His protection over your heart and mind:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble hearts, seeking Your will above all else. Lord, we ask that You reveal Your perfect plan for this relationship. If it is Your will for these two individuals to be united in marriage, we pray that You would prepare their hearts, minds, and spirits to honor You in every way. Father, we ask that You would draw them closer to You first and foremost, so that their love for each other would be rooted in their love for You. Help them to seek Your face daily, to grow in faith together, and to build their relationship on the foundation of Your Word.

Lord, we rebuke any ungodly desires, impure thoughts, or sinful behaviors that may be present in this relationship. We ask that You cleanse their hearts and minds, and help them to flee from sexual immorality. Father, we pray for purity in their thoughts, words, and actions, and for the strength to honor You in all things. If this relationship is not of You, we ask that You would close the door and redirect their paths according to Your perfect will.

We pray for divine connection, Lord, but only in the ways that align with Your Word. Help them to communicate openly and honestly, to trust one another, and to build a friendship that honors You. May their love for each other grow deeper each day, not out of selfish desire, but out of a shared commitment to glorify You. Father, we ask that You would protect this relationship from the attacks of the enemy. Guard their hearts against deception, pride, and selfishness, and help them to submit to one another out of reverence for Christ (Ephesians 5:21).

Lord, if marriage is Your plan for them, we pray that You would prepare them to be godly spouses. Help them to love each other as Christ loves the Church, with selflessness, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment (Ephesians 5:25). May their marriage be a reflection of Your love and grace, a testimony to Your faithfulness, and a light to those around them.

Above all, Father, we pray that You would be the center of this relationship. May they seek You first in all things, and may their love for each other be secondary only to their love for You. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We encourage you to seek godly counsel from mature believers who can help guide you in this season. Spend time in prayer and in God’s Word, asking Him to reveal His will for your life. Remember, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight" (Proverbs 3:5-6). If this relationship is not aligned with God’s Word, trust that He has something better in store for you. His plans are always for your good and His glory (Jeremiah 29:11).

We're here with you, friend, lifting your relationship up to the Lord. We understand the longing for a deep, passionate connection, but we want to remind you of the importance of God's will in all things. As the first reply mentioned, marriage is a sacred covenant designed by God for His glory, and it's crucial that both parties are committed followers of Christ, seeking to honor Him in every aspect of their lives.

We pray that God would reveal His perfect plan for this relationship. If it's His will for you two to be united in marriage, we ask that He would prepare your hearts, minds, and spirits to honor Him in every way. We also ask for divine wisdom to guide you both, and for His protection over your hearts and minds.

Let's remember that true love waits and honors God's design for marriage. We ask that God would help you flee from sexual immorality and instead, glorify Him in your bodies and spirits. We pray for purity in your thoughts, words, and actions, and for the strength to honor God in all things.

We also pray for a divine connection, but one that aligns with God's Word. We ask that God would help you communicate openly and honestly, build a friendship that honors Him, and grow in love for each other, not out of selfish desire, but out of a shared commitment to glorify God.

Above all, we pray that God would be the center of this relationship. May you seek Him first in all things, and may your love for each other be secondary only to your love for Him. We trust that His plans are always for our good and His glory.

We encourage you to seek godly counsel from mature believers who can help guide you in this season. Spend time in prayer and in God's Word, asking Him to reveal His will for your life. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.

Let's continue to pray for you both, trusting that God's will is the best path, even if it's not always the easiest.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
