We come before the Lord with a heavy heart, recognizing the deep love and concern you have for your marriage. Your desire for your husband’s salvation, for his heart to be turned fully to Christ, and for your marriage to thrive in godliness is commendable. However, we must address some areas in your prayer that require biblical correction and realignment with God’s will.

First, we must acknowledge that salvation is a personal decision between an individual and God. While we can pray for our spouses and intercede on their behalf, we cannot force or manipulate their hearts to accept Christ. Ezekiel 36:26 tells us, *"I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh."* Salvation is a work of the Holy Spirit, not something we can demand or control. We must surrender our husbands to God’s timing and trust in His perfect plan. Your prayer for your husband’s salvation is heard, but we must pray with humility, asking God to draw him to Himself in His way and time.

Second, your prayer contains elements of possessiveness and control that are not aligned with biblical love. Love, as defined in Scripture, is patient, kind, and does not seek its own way (1 Corinthians 13:4-5). While it is natural to desire deep intimacy and exclusivity in marriage, we must guard our hearts against jealousy or attempts to manipulate our spouse’s emotions. True love trusts God to work in both of your hearts. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths."* We must release our husbands into God’s hands and trust Him to cultivate love and desire in His perfect way.

We also notice the repeated use of phrases that border on obsession, such as demanding that your husband have eyes for no one else. While fidelity in marriage is biblical and essential, we must be careful not to let fear or insecurity drive our prayers. God calls us to love our spouses with a love that is rooted in Him, not in fear of losing them. 1 John 4:18 tells us, *"There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear has punishment. He who fears is not made perfect in love."* We encourage you to pray for your husband’s faithfulness, but also to pray for your own heart to be filled with the peace and security that comes from trusting God.

Additionally, we must address the way you are praying "in Jesus' name" while also attempting to command or control outcomes. Praying in Jesus' name means aligning our will with His, not using His name as a formula to get what we want. John 14:13-14 says, *"Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it."* This is not a blank check to demand our desires but an invitation to seek God’s will above our own. We must surrender our desires to Him and trust that His plans for our marriages are good, even when they differ from our own.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts that long to see Your will done in this marriage. Lord, we lift up this sister to You, asking that You would fill her with Your peace and assurance. Father, we pray for her husband, that You would draw him to Yourself. Soften his heart, Lord, and open his eyes to see the truth of the Gospel. We ask that You would work in his life in ways that only You can, bringing him to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. We trust in Your perfect timing and Your unfailing love.

Father, we also pray for this marriage. Where there is fear, replace it with trust. Where there is insecurity, fill her heart with the knowledge of Your love and faithfulness. Lord, we ask that You would cultivate a deep, godly love between this husband and wife. Help them to love one another as You have loved us—sacrificially, patiently, and without condition. Guard their hearts against jealousy, control, or manipulation, and instead fill them with the fruit of Your Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

Lord, we declare that no weapon formed against this marriage will prosper. We stand on Your promise in Isaiah 54:17, *"No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that accuses you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is of me," says Yahweh.* We plead the blood of Jesus over this union, asking for Your protection, blessing, and guidance. May their marriage be a reflection of Christ’s love for the Church, holy and blameless before You.

Father, we surrender this marriage into Your hands. We trust that You are working all things together for good, even when we cannot see it. Help this sister to release her husband into Your care, knowing that You love him even more than she does. Fill her with Your peace, and help her to rest in Your promises. We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We encourage you to continue praying for your husband and your marriage, but with a heart that is fully surrendered to God’s will. Seek His wisdom and guidance through His Word, and trust that He is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in both of you. Consider studying Scriptures that speak to God’s love, His faithfulness, and His plans for marriage, such as Ephesians 5:22-33, 1 Corinthians 13, and Colossians 3:12-19. Surround yourself with godly counsel and community, and allow the Holy Spirit to work in your heart as you wait on the Lord.

Dear sister, we join you in lifting up your marriage to our Lord Jesus Christ. We understand the deep longing of your heart for your husband to be drawn to Christ and for your marriage to be a reflection of His love. Here's how we can pray together, focusing on God's will and trusting in His perfect timing:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today, laying our hearts bare. We ask for Your divine intervention in our ###'s marriage. Lord, we pray for her husband, that You would soften his heart and open his eyes to see the truth of the Gospel. Draw him to Yourself, and help him to understand the depth of Your love for him. We trust in Your unfailing love and Your perfect plan for their lives.

Father, we also pray for our ###. Fill her heart with Your peace and assurance. Help her to release her husband into Your care, knowing that You love him even more than she does. Give her the strength to trust in Your timing and to surrender her desires to You. Help her to love her husband as Christ loves the Church, sacrificially and unconditionally.

Lord, we ask that You would cultivate a deep, godly love between this husband and wife. Help them to love one another with the fruit of Your Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Guard their hearts against jealousy, control, or manipulation, and fill them with Your love and wisdom.

In Jesus' name, we declare that no weapon formed against this marriage will prosper. We stand on Your promise in Isaiah 54:17, and we plead the blood of Jesus over this union, asking for Your protection, blessing, and guidance. May their marriage be a reflection of Christ's love for the Church, holy and blameless before You.

We surrender this marriage into Your hands, Lord. Help our ### to trust in Your unfailing love and to rest in Your promises. Fill her with Your peace, and help her to wait on You in faith and patience. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
