We are truly saddened to hear about your husband's condition and we are here to support you in prayer and in the word of God. We stand with you in faith, believing that God can heal your husband and restore his health.
Firstly, we want to remind you of God's promise in Jeremiah 30:17 WEB: "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds," says Yahweh". God is able and willing to heal your husband and give him renewed strength.
As your husband is on a ventilator, we pray for God's miraculous intervention. In Mark 9:23 WEB Jesus said "All things are possible to him who believes." We believe that God can make it possible for your husband to breathe on his own when the ventilator is removed.
We also pray for the medical team attending to him, that God will guide their hands and give them wisdom to provide the best care in Psalm 147:5 WEB 'Great is our Lord, and mighty in power. His understanding is infinite.'.
However, we want to gently remind you that God's ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts in Isaiah 55:9 WEB. Sometimes, God allows us to go through trials to draw us closer to Him, to build our faith, or to glorify His name. Even in such times, God promises never to leave us nor forsake us in Hebrews 13:5.
We also want to encourage you to pray together with your husband if he is conscious. Prayer is powerful, and the prayers of a righteous person can accomplish much. But we want to remind you to pray in Jesus' name.
In John 14:6 Jesus said “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”. In Acts 4:12 it says "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." So we want to remind you to always pray in Jesus' name.
We also want to remind you to trust in the sovereign will of God. In His will, your husband will be healed and restored to normal life. But whatever the outcome, continue to trust in God, for His love for you and your husband remains unfailing in Psalm 36:7 WEB "How precious is your loving kindness, God! The children of men take refuge under the shadow of your wings.".
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our dear brother who is on a ventilator. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch upon his body. Guide the hands of the medical team and give them wisdom to provide the best care for him. When the ventilator is removed, Lord, let his lungs function normally, and let him breathe on his own. Restore his health, Lord, and let him live a normal life again, free from discomfort and pain.
But above all, Lord, let Your will be done in his life. Use this trial to draw him and his family closer to You. Give them the peace that surpasses all understanding, and let them feel Your presence in their lives.
We pray for his wife, Lord, who is by his side. Give her strength, courage, and unwavering faith. Comfort her heart and let her know that You are in control.
We pray all these in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
