Beloved Servant
Please pray for the removal of a psychologically abusive ex totally from my life and pray that if he ever contacts me again, I would be strong enough to not respond at all. Satan has used this man to tempt me greatly and cause so much trouble in my life to the point of him even trying to turn me away from Christ. He is not a Christian. Pray also for the removal from my life of anyone in his social circle who could help him try to harm me. Nevertheless, pray for his and his loved ones' salvation as well. Please also pray that things would go well with my father's new doctor. I'm concerned about this doctor being a good one and wish my father could go back to seeing our family doctor as a patient but he can't because his insurance won't cover our family doctor anymore. Please pray that somehow they might again. Thank you.

We have heard your burden and we join with you in bringing it before the throne of grace in Jesus' name, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved as it is written Acts 4:12.

We grieve with you over the psychological abuse you have endured and we affirm that this is not God's design for relationships. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit Psalm 34:18, and He desires to heal your wounds Psalm 147:3. We also see clearly the spiritual battle you have described. Satan seeks to tempt and to turn you away from Christ, but we are called to submit to God, resist the devil and he will flee from you James 4:7. We take seriously your discernment that this man is not a Christian and that he has been a source of great temptation and trouble. Scripture warns us very plainly, Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity 2 Corinthians 6:14. A relationship that is not centered on Christ and moving toward godly marriage between a man and a woman cannot honor God. We believe in the sanctity of marriage as a lifelong commitment, and we encourage that any courtship be with the goal of marriage to another Christian believer. If there has been any sexual intimacy outside of marriage in this relationship, we lovingly rebuke that as fornication, which God calls us to flee from 1 Corinthians 6:18, and we encourage repentance and walking in purity, for God will forgive and restore when we confess our sins 1 John 1:9. Bad company corrupts good morals 1 Corinthians 15:33, so your desire for complete separation from this man and from anyone in his social circle who could help him harm you is wise and biblical. We also commend your Christlike heart in praying for his salvation and for his loved ones, even as you seek protection, for Jesus taught us to love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you Matthew 5:44.

We encourage you to remain steadfast in Christ, to put on the whole armor of God so that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil Ephesians 6:11, and to surround yourself with mature believers, pastors, and trusted counsel who can support you in maintaining no contact. Do not answer when he contacts you, for God will provide the way of escape from temptation 1 Corinthians 10:13 and He has given us a spirit not of fear, but of power, love, and self-control 2 Timothy 1:7. Blocking communication, informing trusted family or church leaders, and seeking safety are practical steps that honor the Lord's desire for your peace and protection. The Lord is your refuge and fortress Psalm 91:2.

We also lift up your father and his medical care. We know your concern about his new doctor and the insurance that will not cover your family doctor. We serve the Lord who says I am Yahweh who heals you Exodus 15:26 and who promises I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds Jeremiah 30:17. We trust God to give wisdom to physicians and to work all things together for good for those who love Him Romans 8:28, and we bring your anxiety about this to Him, for in nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God Philippians 4:6.

We pray together now.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We ask for Your complete deliverance and protection over Your daughter. Cut every ungodly soul tie and remove this abusive ex totally from her life. Place a hedge of protection around her and cause any avenue of contact from him or from anyone in his circle who would seek to harm her to be closed. Grant her supernatural strength and resolve to not respond at all if he ever reaches out, to resist the devil and to stand firm in purity and in faith. Heal her mind and heart from every wound of psychological abuse, renew her mind Romans 12:2, and restore her joy in Christ. Let no temptation turn her away from You, but draw her ever closer to Your Son. Father, we also pray for the salvation of this man and his loved ones, that You would open their eyes, convict them of sin, and bring them to repentance and faith in Jesus, for You desire all people to be saved 1 Timothy 2:4. For her father, we ask that You guide the hands and mind of his new doctor, grant him wisdom, compassion and skill, and that You would oversee his care for Your glory. If it is Your will, we ask that You would make a way for the insurance to again cover the family doctor, for nothing is impossible with You Luke 1:37. Give her and her father peace that passes all understanding Philippians 4:7. We ask all these things in the saving and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, Amen.

We are grateful you reached out and we are taking your safety seriously. If you are in immediate danger, please contact your local emergency services right now. For free, confidential support from trained helpers, you can find a helpline in your country at findahelpline.com. You are not alone and help is available right now.

We hear how exhausting this season has been with your ex and how much courage it takes to want complete distance and to stay firm if he reaches out again. Wanting to be free from that influence and from anyone who might help him harm you makes sense, and we admire your desire to stay close to Christ through it while still praying for his salvation.

One thing that has helped others in a similar place is to put a simple plan in place before any contact happens, like blocking numbers and social accounts where possible and choosing one trusted person, a family member, pastor or counselor, to call immediately if you feel tempted to respond. Having that support ready can make the moment of temptation less lonely.

We also hear your concern for your father and his new doctor. It is understandable to want the continuity of your family doctor, and we join you in praying for good care and for wisdom about the insurance situation. It can help to write down questions for the new doctor and to ask the clinic staff if there are any options for coverage.

Father, we bring this sister and her father to You. Give her protection, clear boundaries and steady strength, and give her father attentive care and peace. Lead both of them in Your wisdom and keep them close to Jesus. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your requests have been brought before the Lord with earnest prayer, and we join our hearts with yours in seeking His mercy and deliverance.

We have prayed that the Lord in His providence would remove this man wholly from your path and hedge you about with His protecting hand, that every avenue by which harm might return would be closed. We have asked the Lord to grant you firmness of purpose and quiet strength to not respond if contact should come again, for we remember our Saviour's words to pray, Lead us not into temptation. It is right to pray thus, for temptation in itself is perilous, and the soul that has been troubled and tempted greatly needs to be kept from the mischief of it. May the Lord keep your feet from sliding and enable you not to go into temptation, but to turn from it altogether, trusting that He who has begun a healing work in you will keep you standing fast by His grace.

There is healing virtue in Christ, not only in His great acts but in the very leaves of the tree of life. The least thing about Christ is healing, and His power is able to change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. We have prayed that this healing would be yours in full measure, that the wounds left by psychological cruelty and the assaults of the enemy upon your faith would be bound up by the great Physician. He heals the broken in heart and pardons sin in one and the same hand, and we pray that you may know both His pardon and His healing, and be kept close to Him who is your refuge.

We have not forgotten to pray for the man himself and for those round about him who might be instruments of harm. We have asked that the Lord would restrain all evil intent and frustrate any design to injure you, and that, above all, He would bring salvation to that soul and to his loved ones. There is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved but the name of Jesus Christ, and we pray that the Lord would open blind eyes to see the Saviour and grant repentance and faith unto life.

For your father we have also prayed. We have asked the Great Physician, who is above every earthly physician, to give wisdom and skill to this new doctor, to guide his judgment and his care for your father's good. We have asked that the Lord would overrule in the matter of provision and insurance according to His wise providence, whether by opening a way for your family doctor to be seen again or by making this present help effectual and trustworthy in His hands. May the Lord grant you peace in this concern and show you that He cares for the bodies as well as the souls of His people, and that healing and pardon flow from the same hand.

May the Lord hear and answer according to His abundant mercy, keep you from evil, establish you in faith, and cause you to know the sweetness of being kept near to Christ. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
