Beloved Servant
Please pray for God to totally put certain things and people that came into my life in the past few months (or rather that I allowed in) out of it. The last few months had so much pain and negativity and worldly people that could have been avoided if I had not been rebellious in certain ways. Thank you.

We join you in this honest confession and we thank you for taking responsibility before God for what you allowed into your life these past few months. It takes humility to admit rebellion, and God honors a contrite heart. We hear your desire to be cleansed from the pain and negativity and worldly influences that have weighed you down, and we bring this before the Father together in Jesus' name.

We want to lovingly address the rebellion you mentioned, because Scripture is clear that rebellion brings sorrow and opens the door to influences that pull us away from God. The pain you have experienced is not surprising when we walk outside of God's will, yet His mercy is greater than our failures. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness, 1 John 1:9. God does not just forgive, He cleanses and restores. Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a right spirit within me, Psalm 51:10.

We also must address that you asked for God to remove these things and people, and we agree that God can and will deliver you, but He also calls us to actively turn away and choose separation. We cannot ask God to remove what we continue to entertain. Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you, James 4:7-8. Do not be deceived. Evil companionships corrupt good morals, 1 Corinthians 15:33. That is why we are warned, Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity, 2 Corinthians 6:14, and Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand on the path of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers, Psalm 1:1. He who walks with wise men will be wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm, Proverbs 13:20. This means we must not only pray for God to remove these worldly influences, but we must ourselves cut off contact, set firm boundaries, flee from temptation, and pursue fellowship with godly believers who will encourage us toward holiness, Flee from youthful lusts, and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart, 2 Timothy 2:22.

We also noticed your request mentioned God but did not mention Jesus Christ, and we want to gently remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and can be saved and heard. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6. There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. It is because of the blood of Jesus shed on the cross for our sins and His resurrection that we can be forgiven for rebellion and made new. If you have not already, we encourage you to place your full trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, turning from sin and following Him.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one to You. We confess with them the rebellion of the past few months and ask for Your complete forgiveness and cleansing. Wash away all guilt and break every tie to worldly people and influences that do not honor You. We ask You to totally remove from their life what should not be there and to close every door that was opened in disobedience. Give them strength to walk away, to set boundaries, and to resist the enemy. Renew their mind so they will not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, Romans 12:2. Fill the empty places with Your presence, with godly friendships, with fellowship in a Bible believing church, and with a hunger for Your Word. Restore the joy and peace that rebellion stole, and lead them in paths of righteousness for Your name's sake. Help them to walk in obedience from this day forward, not out of fear but out of love for You. We ask all of this in the precious and only saving name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.

Thank you for sharing this so honestly. We hear the weight of these last few months in what you wrote, and the humility it takes to own the part rebellion played and to want a different direction now.

What you are describing is at its heart a turn. Feeling sorry for pain is one thing, but turning and walking a new way is what brings real change. That turn often looks very practical. It helps to think of boundaries like a property line. They show what you are responsible for and what you need to guard so you can live clearly and freely before God. Saying a steady yes or a steady no is part of that.

When many people and patterns have crowded in at once, it can help to get specific. You might find it useful to quietly name the one or two relationships or habits that have brought the most negativity, decide what a healthy distance looks like for you right now, and share that decision with one trusted, mature believer who can encourage you and check in. Growth in this area is more like training than trying once. Small, consistent choices over time shape a new path.

We are praying for you and standing with you as you take these steps.

Father, we bring our brother before You in Jesus' name. Thank You for Your mercy when we turn back to You. Grant wisdom to see clearly, courage to step away from what harms, and healing from the pain of these months. Lead him in Your way and give him steady fellowship and strength for each next step. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your honesty in bringing this before God is itself a sign of grace at work, and I join my prayer to yours with thanksgiving for it.

You have named what many try to hide, that pain and negativity followed when you opened the door to worldly influences through rebellion. Scripture calls this godly sorrow, and godly sorrow worketh repentance unto salvation, a repentance which bringeth no regret. Worldly sorrow only aggravates the wound, for it grieves over loss or shame without turning to God. But to grieve for sin, to see rebellion as it truly is, brings advantage, because it leads us back to Him.

There is repentance, and it has great force. Though one should have come to the very depth of wickedness, repentance is able to set him free if he will lay hold on it. As it is written, the grace of God hath appeared, teaching us that denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously and godly in this present world. To deny here does not mean a small avoidance, but the greatest distance, the greatest hatred and aversion, turning from vice with the same zeal as one turns from an idol. Whatever is useful only for this present life and perishes with it is a worldly lust, and Christ came to deliver us from such things.

So let us pray together.

Heavenly Father, through Jesus Christ Your Son alone, in whom is salvation, have mercy on Your servant who confesses rebellion and seeks Your cleansing. Grant true repentance that does not turn back, and wash away the burden of sin. Deliver from all worldly things and from the company that draws the heart away from You. Give strength to deny ungodliness and worldly lusts with holy resolve, and to stand with fortitude. Grant a careful hearing of Your Word and a continual recollection of it, contempt for what is empty, and love for what endures. Put out of this life what should not remain, and keep out what should not enter, and in its place plant sober, righteous and godly living as we look for the blessed hope of Your appearing. Lead into paths of virtue where no one part is lacking, and keep this soul in safety until Christ be formed again within. Let the sorrow of these months become the ground of joy, and let the delay You have mercifully given become the fruit of amendment.

Do not be cast down beyond measure. Even Manasses, after innumerable pollutions, washed them away by repentance and consideration. The same Lord is ready to restore you. Continue in prayer, in the hearing of Scripture, and in distance from those influences, not returning to them but walking in the way that leads to life.

May the Lord who loves repentance keep you, cleanse you, and establish you in His grace. Amen.
