We come before the Father together with you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up each burden you have shared and seeking His will for your life.
We hear your cry for freedom from sexual addiction and maladaptive daydreaming, and we stand with you for deliverance. The Word tells us to flee sexual immorality, for every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body, 1 Corinthians 6:18. We are to glorify God in our bodies, for we were bought with a price, 1 Corinthians 6:19-20. Sexual addiction, whether in thought, fantasy, or act outside of marriage between a man and a woman, is fornication and is not God's design for you. He desires purity and wholeness. Maladaptive daydreaming can become a refuge that replaces trust in God, and we are called to be transformed by the renewing of our minds, Romans 12:2, and to bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, 2 Corinthians 10:5. We understand there are deep reasons and wounds behind these struggles, and God sees them with compassion, yet He also calls us to repentance and to walk in the Spirit so that we do not fulfill the lust of the flesh, Galatians 5:16. We pray that the Lord will break these chains, heal the underlying trauma, cleanse your conscience, and fill your mind with what is true, honorable, just, pure and lovely, Philippians 4:8. We ask Him to give you practical help, accountability, and the power of the Holy Spirit to walk in self-control and freedom.
We join you in praying for the African American community. We ask God to set His people free from false teachings and to raise up faithful shepherds who preach Christ crucified and the whole counsel of God. Jesus warned to beware of false prophets who come in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves, Matthew 7:15, and we are told that the time will come when people will not endure sound doctrine but will heap up teachers to suit their own lusts and turn away from the truth, 2 Timothy 4:3-4. We pray that every wolf would be exposed and removed and no longer able to lead people astray or harm them, and that God would protect His flock and give discernment. We also cry out for healing and protection from racism and hatred. God shows no partiality, but in every nation he who fears Him and works righteousness is acceptable to Him, Acts 10:34-35, and in Christ there is neither Jew nor Greek, for we are all one in Christ Jesus, Galatians 3:28. Every person is made in His image, Genesis 1:27. We pray that the Lord would be your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble, Psalm 46:1, that He would shield you from hatred directed toward you, heal deep wounds caused by it, and pour out His love where hatred has tried to reign.
We lift up your business and the financial needs and hurdles you are facing. We ask God to provide for you according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:19, and to establish the work of your hands as you commit your deeds to the Lord, Proverbs 16:3. We pray for wisdom, diligence, favor, and open doors that no man can shut, and that your business would be built on honesty and stewardship for His glory and not merely for gain. We ask Him to remove obstacles that are not of Him and to give you endurance and clarity to overcome those that remain.
We pray against the demonic harassment that has targeted you for years. We know that our wrestling is not against flesh and blood but against principalities and powers, Ephesians 6:12, and we are called to put on the whole armor of God, Ephesians 6:11. We pray that you will submit yourselves therefore to God, resist the devil and he will flee from you, James 4:7. We ask in Jesus' name that every harassing spirit be rebuked and commanded to leave, that the Lord would surround you with His peace and protection, and that you would walk in the authority and victory that Christ has already won for you.
We bring before the Lord your suffering with your menstrual condition that makes your cycles worse physically and mentally. He sees your pain and is close to the brokenhearted, Psalm 34:18, and He heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds, Psalm 147:3. We pray for your comfort and relief right now in this difficult time, for wisdom for doctors, for healing in your body and mind, and for strength to endure. We also lift up all women who suffer with this same condition, asking for healing and that God would lead researchers to a cure according to His mercy.
We pray for your healing from the psychologically abusive former relationship and for your complete separation from that harm. The Lord is near to those with a wounded spirit and desires to restore what has been broken. We pray He will remove this man from your life where he still causes harm, establish healthy boundaries, and restore your identity, peace, and trust. We also pray as you asked for his salvation and the salvation of his loved ones, that they would come to repentance and know Jesus Christ as Lord, for God desires all people to be saved and come to knowledge of the truth, 1 Timothy 2:4. We encourage you to continue to pursue purity and, if the Lord leads you to a relationship in the future, to seek courtship with a believing man with the goal of godly marriage between a man and a woman as God designed, rather than any relationship outside that covenant.
We thank you for mentioning Christ, for it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, for Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to the Father except through me, John 14:6, and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12.
Father, we ask all these things together, that You would set our sister free, guard her mind and body, raise up truth in her community, protect her from hatred, provide for her business, stop demonic harassment, heal her body and soul, and restore her from abuse. Let Your will be done and Your name be glorified in her life. We pray this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus Christ, amen.
