Dhitlor

Beloved Servant
Please pray for God to totally put certain things and people that came into my life in the past few months (or rather that I allowed in) out of it. The last few months had so much pain and negativity and worldly people that could have been avoided if I had not been rebellious in certain ways. Please also pray for me because due to certain events (unrelated to my prayer request above), I'm concerned about going backward in certain areas of my walk with Christ. Please pray for me about this. Please also pray that laws concerning domestic violence and stalking will improve around the world and in the US. At least in the US, the amount of help a person (and maybe this applies to women the most) will get from law enforcement when they are being stalked is very minimal and almost totally unhelpful. Please also pray that God would help with something I'm worried about that I have to do next week. Thank you.

We join with you in prayer and we thank you for your honesty in acknowledging that some of the pain and negativity of the last few months came from rebellion and from allowing worldly people and influences into your life that should not have been there. God honors a contrite heart and He is faithful to forgive and to cleanse and to restore when we turn back to Him fully.

We are encouraged that you recognize this, for scripture says He who conceals his sins doesn’t prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them finds mercy Proverbs 28:13 and If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness 1 John 1:9. There is no need to remain under condemnation for past rebellion when you have brought it to the Lord, but there is a call to turn from it completely. We also hear your concern about going backward in your walk with Christ, and we want to encourage you that God does not want you to drift but to draw nearer. We are told Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners. Purify your hearts, you double-minded James 4:7-8. Part of drawing near is separating from what pulled you away. Therefore Come out from among them, and be separate, says the Lord 2 Corinthians 6:17 and Blessed is the man who doesn’t walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand on the path of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers Psalm 1:1. We pray that you will take practical steps as well as spiritual ones to remove those influences, to set boundaries, to seek fellowship with believers who will encourage you in holiness, and to be renewed by the transforming of your mind Romans 12:2 so that you will not be conformed to this world again.

We also stand with you in concern for your walk and for the worry you carry about what you must do next week. God sees that anxiety and He invites you to bring it to Him. We are told In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7 and casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you 1 Peter 5:7. We pray that He will steady your heart, give you wisdom for each step, and guard you from slipping backward. Do not grow weary in doing what is right, for in due season we will reap, if we don’t give up Galatians 6:9. Keep looking to Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith Hebrews 12:2, daily in His Word and in prayer.

We also join you in praying for justice and protection regarding domestic violence and stalking. It grieves us that so many, especially women, find so little help when they are being stalked or abused. God hates violence and oppression and He is a refuge for the oppressed. We pray that He would be a stronghold in times of trouble Psalm 9:9 and that He would move upon lawmakers, law enforcement, and courts to fulfill their God given duty, for rulers are not a terror to the good work, but to the evil and he is a servant of God to you for good Romans 13:3-4. We pray for laws to be strengthened and enforced with wisdom and compassion, for victims to be protected and heard, and for perpetrators to be justly restrained and brought to repentance.

We now pray together for you.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You and we lift up this dear one to You. We thank You that You have not cast them away but You welcome them back when they confess and turn from rebellion. Wash them clean, Lord, forgive all that has been of the flesh and the world in these past months, and break every tie to people and things that are not of You. Remove from their life what needs to be removed and give them courage to close doors that need to be closed and to walk in separation and holiness. Restore their joy and their strength in their walk with You. Guard them from going backward. Draw them near as they draw near to You. Fill them with hunger for Your Word and for prayer and for fellowship with Your people. For the matter next week that causes worry, we ask for Your peace that surpasses all understanding to guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus, for clear wisdom, for Your hand to make a way and to be their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble Psalm 46:1. We also pray for all who suffer from domestic violence and stalking, that You would protect them, that You would stir the authorities You have ordained to act justly and diligently, and that laws around the world and in this nation would improve to bring real help and safety. Let justice roll on and let the vulnerable find shelter in You. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus, who alone is our access to the Father and our salvation, for there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. Amen.

Thank you for sharing so honestly with us. We hear how heavy the last few months have felt, and how much you want a clean break from the people and patterns that brought pain. It takes humility to name where rebellion opened a door, and also courage to want to walk a different way now.

We also hear the worry underneath about going backward in your walk with Christ. That fear is common when we have been through a rough stretch. Growth with the Lord is rarely a straight line. It is more like a long, gradual process with good days and setbacks, and what matters most is the direction over time as you keep turning to Him. Feeling shaky right now does not mean you have lost the ground God has already given you.

For the week ahead, it may help to get practical about the break you are asking God for. We encourage you to name one clear boundary you can keep this week and share it with one trusted believer who can check in with you, especially as you face what you are worried about next week. Having another person praying and knowing the details makes it harder for old influences to drift back in.

We are joining you in prayer for wisdom for lawmakers and for better protection for those facing stalking and domestic violence, and for peace as you prepare for next week.

Father, in Jesus name we bring our friend to You. Cleanse what needs to be cleansed and gently remove what should not remain. Give wisdom, strength and steady steps forward, and guard their heart from discouragement. Be near in the situation next week, provide what is needed and help them sense Your leading. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your honest and humble confession has been heard, and we join you in bringing it before the Lord who delights to show mercy. You speak of things and people you allowed into your life in these past months, of pain and negativity that followed upon rebellion, and of a concern that you may go backward in your walk with Christ. This is a gracious sorrow, and we pray that it may be that true repentance which gives God glory.

There is a carnal repentance which is of the flesh and brings no healing, but true repentance is the work of the Spirit of God. It makes us weep and abhor our past life because of the love of Christ which has pardoned it, and it makes us avoid present sin because of the love of God who died for us. It is a repentance unto life, practical, yielding works meet for repentance, and it lasts. Repentance lives as long as faith, and sweet sister Repentance is charming company even to the gates of pearl. We pray that the Lord would grant you such repentance as a gift in the name of Jesus, where repentance and remission of sins go together. Where there is true repentance there is full and free forgiveness through His finished work. Look out of self to Christ and to Christ only, for faith which admits Christ to be the sole master of the heart and repentance which ejects sin as an evil tenant are inseparable.

For your fear of going backward, hear the promise which rings like a marriage peal, I will heal their backsliding. Hosea 14:4. Backsliding is treated as a disease, but the Lord says He Himself will heal His own people. He taught backsliding David to pray, Take not thy Holy Spirit from me, and He put that prayer into his mouth because He meant to answer it. He says, Turn, O backsliding children, for I am married unto you. We pray that He would heal you, take away the chastisement that sin brings, restore lost comfort, and bathe your soul again with exceeding joy in His presence. If you have been renewed in the spirit of your mind by grace, ask Him again, Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me, and He will do it.

We also join you in prayer concerning the laws and the protection of those who suffer domestic violence and stalking. The Lord loves justice and He has ordained authorities to restrain evil and protect the vulnerable. We pray that He would give wisdom to lawmakers and law enforcement, that evil would be restrained, that the vulnerable would be shielded, and that justice would be done with compassion and firmness. We pray for all who live in fear, that God would be their refuge and defense, and that He would raise up help for them.

For that which lies before you next week and causes worry, we commend you to the goodness of God which leads us to repentance and to trust. He does not drive His children as a slaveholder drives with a whip, but He draws them with goodness. Cast your care upon Him, for He cares for you. We pray that He would give you wisdom, peace, and strength for each step, and that you would see His hand guiding and providing.

We pray together that the Lord would put out of your life what is worldly and harmful, purge the soul from dead works, build you up in Christ, keep your feet from sliding, and cause you to walk in practical and lasting repentance. May the tears of grief for sin be made into a rainbow by glances of hope at the love of Christ, and may your life give Him glory.

Thank you for opening your heart and sharing these burdens so honestly. We have heard your request and we join you in prayer before God who is merciful and ready to forgive.

We pray first about the people and influences that entered your life in recent months and the pain that followed. You rightly see that rebellion opens the door to worldly things that harm the soul. The grace of God teaches us not merely to avoid ungodliness and worldly lusts but to deny them, to stand at the greatest distance from them with hatred and aversion, for they are like idols that pass away with this present life. We pray that God will in His wisdom remove what is harmful and help you to walk soberly, righteously and godly in this present world as you look for the blessed hope of our Savior Jesus Christ. Where relationships or patterns are not in keeping with His design for holiness, we do not ask Him to bless them but to cleanse you from them and to lead you into what is pure and life giving.

You also shared concern about going backward in your walk with Christ. Be assured that repentance is not shut against you. There is no second baptism, but there is repentance and it has great power to lift up even one who has fallen deeply, if he will lay hold of it. What God desires is not worldly sorrow, which is sorrow for loss or reputation or pain alone and works death, but godly sorrow, which mourns for sin itself and works repentance unto salvation without regret. The example of Esau shows that tears alone are not repentance if the heart still holds to sin. But the harlot who washed the feet of Jesus with tears shows how godly tears become the seed of unfading joy, and God who sees the heart forgives and restores. If you turn to Him with a true confession through Jesus Christ alone, who is the only way of salvation, He will forgive and form Christ anew in you. The Church is like a spiritual bath where the stains of the soul are washed away by His many methods of repentance.

We also pray as you asked for the laws concerning domestic violence and stalking to be improved, in the United States and around the world. It is grievous when those who should protect offer little help to those in danger, especially to women who are vulnerable. We pray that God would move those in authority to enact just laws and to enforce them with diligence, that the vulnerable would be protected and that evil would be restrained.

For the matter next week that worries you, we pray that God who feeds you from your youth up and pours out His gifts like a fountain will free you from anxiety. When God promises to provide, we can put off worldly care and trust Him for the future. We ask Him to give you wisdom, peace, and a clear path, and to guard your heart from fear.

May the Lord grant you godly sorrow that leads to lasting repentance, strength to deny every worldly lust, protection from harm, and confidence in His daily care. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our only Savior, trusting in His grace to keep you and to bring you forward and not backward in faith.
