Your honest and painful account has been received with care and prayer. What you have described, being shocked while showering, being wounded, needing medical care, having to shower elsewhere, and then being met with no apology, no help, threats and demands instead of repairs, is a heavy burden to carry. It is understandable that you feel unsafe, unheard and deeply hurt, especially when you also have concern that someone may have entered your home and when you have been falsely accused by others. God sees all of this and He cares about both your physical safety and the truth being made known.
Scripture teaches that the heart is the wellspring of life. As a person thinks in his heart, so he is. That is why we are told to guard the heart with all diligence, for out of it come the issues of life. The heart can be deceitful and desperately wicked, and no one can fully know his own heart. Only God can search it and know it. That is why the psalmist prayed, search me, O God, and know my heart, try me and know my thoughts, and see if there is any wicked way in me. This is a prayer we all need to pray for ourselves, even as we pray it for others, asking God to show us what is truly inside and to lead us in His way.
You have asked for prayer that hard hearts would be softened, that there would be remorse and responsibility instead of threats and avoidance. God desires true repentance, not just surface sorrow or words. In the prophets we are told to rend the heart and not just the garments. God looks for a torn and changed heart, not an outward show. Sorrow alone is not repentance. True repentance means a change. A changed heart will bring a change of attitude and then a change of actions, and the actions will show the reality of the change. Without a work of God inside the heart, the problem is only postponed and will come out again, because what is in the heart will eventually be revealed. God desires truth in the inner being, and He loves justice, mercy and humility before Him. A proud look and a hard heart are detestable to Him.
We see this pattern with Pharaoh. At first Pharaoh hardened his own heart in rebellion and refused to listen. Then God made that hard position firm and established. It began with Pharaoh's own choice to resist, and God then confirmed the direction Pharaoh had chosen. This is a solemn warning. When people persistently choose to harden themselves, to excuse what is life threatening as if it were only a matter of comfort, to falsify reports and to threaten instead of taking responsibility, they are hardening their hearts in rebellion. Our prayer is that God would intervene before hearts become fully fixed, that He would break through the hardness, take away a heart of stone and give a heart of flesh, and bring the fear of God which is the beginning of wisdom. That holy fear helps a person see that God will judge the thoughts and motives of the heart.
We are joining you in prayer in the name of Jesus. We ask that God would protect you and keep you safe, as it is written that many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all, and that affliction will slay the wicked while those who hate the righteous will be held accountable. We ask that God would bring the truth to light, that what has been hidden or misrepresented would be exposed, and that those in authority who handle reports and legal matters would act with honesty and justice. We pray that the landlord, the lawyer and all involved would be touched by the Holy Spirit, convicted of what is right, brought to genuine remorse and to the fruit of repentance, which includes telling the truth, apologizing and making restitution where it is due. We also pray for the woman who accused you falsely, that her eyes would be opened to the truth and that no further harm would come to you.
We also pray for you, for healing of your body where you were wounded, for peace in place of anxiety, for wisdom as you seek help for safe housing and for just resolution, and for strength to guard your own heart from bitterness while you continue to trust God. Ask Him daily to search your heart as well, to keep it soft toward Him, and to fill you with His peace that guards heart and mind.
May the Lord be your refuge and your defender, may He turn this painful situation toward what is just and merciful, and may His will be done in the hearts of all involved.
