Use It! (Sep 21st)

Verse
We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.

Romans 12:6-8 tniv

Thought
"Just do it!" Long before Nike adopted this as their slogan, Paul commanded it to Romans. God has gifted us — each of us. We are not judged by the KIND of gift that we have received, but on whether we USE the gift we have received. So no matter what our gift may be, Paul simply says, "Do it!"

Prayer
O Father, I confess that Satan makes me feel less than others because I sometimes believe his lies. Rather than using the gifts that you have given me, I wish that I were better at using my gift or I wish that I had another gift. I am convicted by Paul's words today. I know I need to use the gift you have given me. So please, Holy Spirit, give me confidence to know my gift so that I can use it effectively to your glory. In Jesus' name I ask for this grace. Amen.
