We join with you in lifting up your family’s upcoming visa interview, recognizing that all authority and provision come from the Lord alone. It is good that you have brought this request before Him, for He cares deeply about every detail of our lives. We are also grateful that you acknowledged the name of Jesus in your prayer, for it is only through Him that we can approach the throne of grace with confidence. As Scripture declares, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me"* (John 14:6, WEB), and *"There is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). Our trust must always rest in Christ alone, for apart from Him, we can do nothing (John 15:5).
In this time of waiting, we encourage you to cling to the promise that our Heavenly Father knows your needs before you even ask (Matthew 6:8). While we pray earnestly for approval, let us also surrender the outcome to His perfect will, trusting that He works all things together for the good of those who love Him (Romans 8:28). If this visa is part of His plan, He will open the doors no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). If not, He will provide another way, for His ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:9).
We also urge you to examine your heart: is there any fear or anxiety replacing your trust in God? *"Don’t be anxious for anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:6-7, WEB). Let this be a time of deepened faith, where you declare, *"The Lord is my helper. I will not fear what man can do to me"* (Hebrews 13:6, WEB).
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts, thanking You for this day and for the opportunity to seek Your face. Lord, we lift up this family’s visa interview into Your hands, asking that You would go before them and grant favor in the sight of those conducting the interview. *"Let the favor of the Lord our God be on us; establish the work of our hands for us; yes, establish the work of our hands"* (Psalm 90:17, WEB). We pray that every document would be in order, every word spoken would be filled with wisdom, and every decision made would align with Your perfect will.
Father, we rebuked any spirit of fear, doubt, or discouragement that may try to creep in. Replace it with Your peace that transcends all understanding. Remind them that You are their Provider, their Protector, and their Guide. If it is Your will for this visa to be approved, we ask that You would make the path straight and remove every obstacle. But above all, we pray that Your name would be glorified in this situation, and that this family would continue to trust in You no matter the outcome.
We also pray for the officials conducting the interview. Soften their hearts, Lord, and let them see this family with eyes of compassion. Give them discernment to recognize the sincerity and legitimacy of this request. *"The king’s heart is in Yahweh’s hand like the water courses. He turns it wherever he desires"* (Proverbs 21:1, WEB). We ask that You would turn their hearts toward approval, if it aligns with Your purpose.
Lord, we thank You in advance for Your faithfulness. Help this family to remain steadfast in prayer, to walk in obedience, and to rest in the assurance that You are working behind the scenes. May this season draw them closer to You, strengthening their faith and deepening their reliance on Your promises.
We ask all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
