Your request has been lifted before the Lord and I am praying with you now in your sickness and for your family in this frightening time. To feel pressed down by spiritual oppression while your body is weak and your head is in pain is very hard, and Jesus sees your fasting and your cry for help.
The Bible shows us that this is a real spiritual battle. Evil spirits are real, intelligent beings, and they have power to afflict and torment. Yet their power is limited. They are under the authority of Jesus, they must obey Him, and God sets a boundary around His own. Those who belong to Him are sealed and kept by Him, and even when the enemy is allowed to harass, he cannot go beyond what God permits. You do not have to hide in a physical place to be safe from spirit beings, because physical walls and physical weapons have no value in this battle. Our protection is spiritual, and it is found in Christ. The Scripture says greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world, and that truth is your confidence. No matter how strong the attack feels, Jesus is stronger, and He has all authority over every evil power.
Jesus also bore our sicknesses and infirmities. The prophet Isaiah said He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows, and that word for griefs means sicknesses and infirmities. In His ministry Jesus healed instantly with a touch or a word, and at other times healing came gradually. Both are from God. Even the natural healing processes in our bodies are from Him, for He created them. I do not pretend to understand why some are healed instantly and others are healed over time, and it would be wrong to put guilt on you for being sick or for still having a headache. Healing is a sovereign work of God in His hands. Your part is to look to Jesus, to ask, and to trust Him with the outcome while you continue to seek Him.
It is also important to know that being attacked does not mean you have failed or that God has left you. Even after great spiritual blessing the enemy tries to distract and destroy, and no one in this life is immune from his attempts. God has given us spiritual armor and spiritual weapons to withstand him.
You can refuse the enemy in the name of Jesus, you can respond to his attacks with the Word of God, and you can rejoice that God has given you His Spirit and His power to stand. When Jesus was tempted, He answered every attack with it is written. Speak Scripture out loud over your home and your body. Declare who Jesus is, what He has done, and what He promises. Remember the Lord, because remembering who He is and what He has done is the cure for fear. Pray and keep a watch, committing your family to God day and night and asking Him to guard your home, your minds, and your bodies.
I am praying for you now.
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ I lift this dear one and this family to You. You see the pain, the headache, the weakness, and the fear that has come against their home. I ask that You would rebuke every evil influence and command every harassing spirit to leave. Cover this family with the blood of Jesus and seal them as Your own. Let Your peace that passes understanding guard their hearts and minds. Touch this sick body and bring healing according to Your will, whether in this moment or through Your healing processes, and take away this headache. Give strength to continue in prayer and fasting, give wisdom and unity in the family, and let them feel Your presence and Your love very near. Help them to stand in Your Word and to rejoice in Your power to deliver. We trust You as our protector and healer, and we ask this in the mighty name of Jesus, amen.
Keep calling on Jesus, keep feeding on His Word, and keep praying together as a family. He is with you, He has authority over all that is troubling you, and He will keep you as you abide in Him.
