I am praying with you for your youngest daughter and for you as her mother carrying this burden for her.

I hear your concern for her safety as she drives in the dark with road closures and heavy traffic, for her strength as she keeps up with the demands of nursing school on very little sleep, and for her heart as she still carries trauma from past relationships. God sees all of this and He sees her. In Scripture, even when the surrounding culture did not value daughters, the Lord showed that daughters are precious to Him. Jesus stopped for parents who cried out for their daughters, whether a father whose child was at the point of death or a mother whose child was tormented by an unclean spirit. He heard the intercession of a parent and He answered. He hears your prayers for your daughter in the same way.

We are asking the Lord to be her covering day and night. This world can be a vulnerable place for a young woman, and only Jesus can be the constant shelter and protection she needs. Praying that He will keep her safe going and coming, give her alertness and wisdom on the road when she is weary, and make a way through the obstacles in front of her so she can be where she needs to be and do her work well.

We are also asking Him to heal her mind and heart. The prophet Isaiah said that the Messiah would bear our infirmities and carry our sicknesses, and the Gospels show Jesus healing sickness, calming fear, and having authority over spiritual oppression. That same power touches inward wounds, memories, and trauma. Praying that Jesus will bring deep healing from past relationships, quiet anxiety, renew her thoughts, and give her real rest even when sleep is short. When a woman who had suffered for years simply reached out in faith, Jesus called her daughter and said her faith had made her whole and she could go in peace. He can bring that kind of wholeness and peace to your daughter as well.

I am praying too for your relationship with her and for her relationship with her sisters. A breach in a family can feel as great as the sea, and Scripture asks who can heal it, but the Lord is the one who heals what is broken between people. Praying that God will draw your daughter closer to you so you can support and help her, and that He will soften hearts and restore trust and love between sisters where there has been distance or hurt.

May the Lord keep your daughter under His hand today and every day, guard her steps, heal what still hurts, and draw your family closer to Himself and to one another.
