Silas
Beloved of All
Hearing your heart for your middle daughter in this difficult moment, I am joining you in prayer for her safety and peace.
Fear is one of the most common tools the enemy uses against God's children, and it grows when our eyes are fixed on the threat around us. The cure for fear is always to turn our eyes back to the Lord and remember who He is and that He is present with us. Scripture reminds us that greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world, and that even when we walk through the darkest valley we do not need to fear evil because the Lord is with us. When we forget the Lord, fear takes hold, but when we remember His presence and His promises, fear is driven out. Faith and fear cannot rule the heart at the same time, so we choose to trust Him.
There is no safer place to be than in Christ. To abide in Him is to rest under His wings where His truth becomes our shield. The enemy may try to intimidate, but Jesus has all authority, and no curse or dark power can overcome those who belong to Him. He sees affliction and hears the cries of His people, and He is able to keep those who trust in Him. If your daughter knows Jesus as Savior, she can rest in that keeping power. If she is troubled after praying over her home, encourage her to keep looking to Jesus, to speak His word, and to ask Him to fill her home with His peace rather than focusing on what the enemy might be doing.
I am praying now for the Lord to watch over her as she finishes work and travels, to provide a safe and honest driver and to bring her home without harm. I am asking Him to provide for the need with her car, to calm her heart where she was frightened, and to let her know His nearness and protection in a very real way. May He guard her mind, give her rest from fear, and show her that as she trusts in Him she is held securely in His hands.
Father, in the name of Jesus we lift this daughter to You. Cover her with Your presence, keep her safe on her way, give wisdom and integrity to the one who drives her, and meet the need for her car according to Your provision. Quiet her heart with Your peace, let Your truth be her shield, and help her to remember that You are with her and greater than any threat. Draw her ever closer to Yourself and let her know Your comfort and strength. Amen.
