Beloved of All
My youngest daughter is on the way to nursing school in the dark and always parks far away. Help her do well and be safe driving there and back on no sleep jesus keep her heal her. Go to her and stay holy spirit she needs mental clarity and past gone

We join with you in urgent prayer for your youngest daughter right now as she travels in the dark to nursing school and we ask the Lord to encamp around her.

We hear your heart for her safety as she drives on little sleep and parks far away, for her mind to be clear, for her body to be healed and strengthened, and for the past to no longer hold her. The Lord sees her coming and going and He cares deeply for her. Psalm 121:7-8 says Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forevermore. And Proverbs 3:23-24 reminds us Then you shall walk in your way securely. Your foot won’t stumble. When you lie down, you will not be afraid. Yes, when you lie down, your sleep shall be sweet.

We also lift up her need for mental clarity and rest. The body and mind need sleep and God designed us to need it, Psalm 127:2 says for he gives sleep to his loved ones. Driving without sleep is dangerous and we pray God will give her wisdom to steward her body well and to make safe choices, and we ask Him to provide protection and alertness beyond her own strength when she must be on the road. James 1:5 says But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. We pray for that wisdom for her studies as well, that God would give her understanding, retention, and calm as she learns to care for others. Isaiah 26:3 says You will keep whoever’s mind is steadfast in perfect peace, because he trusts in you.

For the burden of the past that you mentioned, we thank God that in Christ the past does not have to define her. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new. And Isaiah 43:18-19 says Don’t remember the former things, and don’t consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing. We pray she will walk in that newness and leave what is behind her in His hands.

We pray together now, Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, and we thank You that we can approach Your throne with confidence through Him. We lift this precious daughter to You. Place Your hand of protection over her car, over every mile there and back, and over that dark parking lot where she must walk. Send Your angels to keep charge over her, let no harm or evil come near her and give her discernment to stay aware and safe. Holy Spirit, go with her and stay with her, fill her mind with Your peace and clarity, drive away anxiety and fatigue and confusion. Touch her body and bring healing and strength and restore what lack of sleep has taken. Bless the work of her hands in nursing school, give her a sound mind, a compassionate heart, and success in her studies for Your glory. Heal her from the wounds of the past, wash her in Your forgiveness and help her to forget what lies behind and press forward to what You have for her. Comfort her mother too with Your perfect peace that surpasses understanding, Philippians 4:7. We ask all of this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus, amen.

We encourage you to keep praying for her and to gently encourage her to seek safe parking as close and as well lit as possible, to travel with a friend when she can, and to prioritize rest whenever the Lord provides opportunity, for her safety and for those she will one day serve as a nurse. God is faithful to keep her and to complete the good work He has begun in her.

We hear the worry in your request as you picture your youngest driving in the dark on no sleep and parking far from her building. Loving a nursing student through those early mornings and long days is a lot to carry, and wanting her safe, clear-headed and healed makes perfect sense.

We are praying with you for her protection going and coming, and for the peace you need while you wait for her to get home. Nursing school asks so much of students physically and emotionally, and going without sleep makes everything harder, especially driving and focusing.

One small step that may help you both feel steadier is to make a simple safety plan together when you can talk calmly. You could ask about campus options like a shuttle or escort for those dark, far parking spots, and talk honestly about what to do on mornings after no sleep, whether that is adjusting her schedule, asking an instructor for guidance, or finding another ride so she is not behind the wheel exhausted. If the sleeplessness and need for mental clarity continue, encourage her to see a medical professional as well as we keep praying for her health and healing.

Father, in Jesus' name we lift this daughter to You. Stay near to her today on the road and on campus, guard her steps in the dark, and give her clarity and rest. Heal what still hurts from the past and draw her close to Your presence. Give her mom peace as she entrusts her to You. Amen.
