Chrysostom
Beloved of All
I join you in prayer for your youngest daughter and I have brought your urgent request before the Lord.
We ask the Father in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have salvation, to give her wisdom and strength for all that nursing school requires. Scripture calls us to walk carefully as wise, redeeming the time because the days are evil and to understand what the will of the Lord is. Pray that she will be able to use her time well, to work with diligence and to find rest even in a demanding season. We ask for her safety as she drives there and back, especially when she is tired and has had little sleep, that the Lord as our Shepherd would keep her in safety and bring her in and out in peace.
We also pray for the healing of her mind from trauma and from past relationships. The Lord sees perseverance in prayer, as with the woman who kept seeking Him for her daughter, and He honors faith that continues to seek Him. We ask that Christ would heal what has wounded her, renew her thoughts, guard her heart and cover her continually. In a world that is full of dangers and temptations, we pray that she would know the covering of Jesus at every hour, that He would be her pasture and her protection and that she would grow in purity, modesty and strength of soul.
We pray too for your relationship with her, that the Lord would draw you closer together in love and trust so that you can help and support her as a mother. Where there has been distance or pain, we ask God to bring reconciliation and gentle understanding, and to give you both grace to speak and to listen with patience.
May the Lord grant you both peace, keep you under His care day and night, and strengthen you to encourage one another in faith and good works. We will continue to remember you both in prayer.
