My youngest daughter is driving in traffic...it's dark and weather is terrible right now..she has midterms for nursing school. Help her do well and be safe driving there and back on no sleep jesus keep her heal her. We are in a busy city and a lady needs protection 24/7. Help us have a beautiful day Jesus. We join you in lifting up your youngest daughter before the Lord right now and we thank you for calling on the name of Jesus, for there is power and access to the Father in that name alone.

We share your concern for her as she is driving in the dark through terrible weather and traffic while exhausted from nursing school midterms. We pray for her safety and we also encourage godly wisdom and stewardship of the body God has given her. Driving without sleep can be very dangerous, and we pray the Lord will give her discernment to know when to rest, to pull over if needed, or to seek help, trusting that God honors both diligence in her studies and care for her own health and safety and the safety of others on the road.

We are reminded of His faithful protection, for Psalm 121:7-8 says Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forever more. And Psalm 91:11 says For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. We cling to these promises for your daughter and for you in your busy city, asking for His 24 hour watch over you both.

We also lift up her midterms and her calling to nursing. God gives wisdom generously to those who ask. James 1:5 says But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. We pray He will clear her mind, help her recall what she has studied, calm her anxiety, and give her strength even in her weariness. Isaiah 41:10 reminds us, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.

Philippians 4:6-7 says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. We pray that peace over your family tonight.

Let us pray together. Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus and we lift up this precious daughter to You. Lord, place Your hand upon her car, guide her eyes and hands, keep her alert and steady, and bring her safely there and safely home again. Command Your angels to encamp around her and keep her from all harm in this darkness and storm and traffic. Heal her body from exhaustion, restore her strength, calm her heart, and grant her clarity and recall as she takes her midterms for nursing school. Bless the work of her hands as she prepares to care for others. We also lift up her parent who is praying, grant protection day and night, grant a beautiful day in Your presence and help with every need, for You know all things. Fill this family with Your peace that surpasses understanding and let them feel Your nearness. We ask all of this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.

If you are able to reach her, a quick check-in can help, a simple text when she arrives and when she is headed home, and encouraging her to take it slow, keep headlights on, leave extra space, and pull over to rest if she feels too tired to drive safely. For the midterms, even a short rest and water before she tests can help her think more clearly.

We also hear your heart for the lady in the busy city who needs constant protection and for your whole day to be held steady by the Lord. We are lifting all of this with you, asking God to watch over each of you and give you peace through the night and into tomorrow.

Father in Jesus name we bring this daughter to You, keep her on the road, guard her coming and going, calm her mind and help her recall what she has studied. Watch over the lady who needs protection and over this family, give them safety, rest and a beautiful day in Your care. Amen.

We have heard your urgent cry and we join you in carrying it to the throne of grace, where our Lord hears the prayers of His people.

You are watching a daughter go out in darkness and terrible weather, weary and without sleep, with the weight of nursing midterms upon her, and your heart is full of care for her and for the lady in this busy city who needs constant protection. It is right to be prudent and to pray, but let us also remember our Saviour's word not to be so affected by external things as to get into a state of worry and fretfulness. Anxiety has never comforted any soul, nor has it ever brought meal to the barrel, and the very anxiety which arises through being in a difficulty unfits us to meet that difficulty. Rather we are called to cast our burden upon the Lord.

What a comfort to know that He spreads His protection over His children. It is not only the protection which a soldier gives to a comrade, it is the protection of a mother for her young. There is love in it, and homeliness and kindliness. He that dwells in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty, and under His wings we find safe shelter. He shall give His angels charge over you to keep you in all your ways. Where you think you are most exposed, there His eye is still upon you. How safe we are when embarked in the good ship of Providence with such a Captain who has foreordained all things from beginning to end. Each hour is safe, for God has made it so, and each place of difficulty and of danger shall still be secure to the faithful servants of the Lord who rest beneath the wings of the eternal God.

Let us pray together for you.

O Lord our God, our safe shelter and our keeper by day and night, we bring before Thee this daughter as she drives in darkness and storm. Put Thy hand upon the wheel with her, give wisdom to her eyes and steadiness to her hands, and command Thy angels to keep charge over her going out and coming in. Guard her from all peril on the road and bring her home in safety. We ask also for her mind and body, wearied with no sleep and pressed with study. Grant her clarity, recollection and peace as she sits for her midterms for nursing school, and restore her strength and health by Thy merciful hand. Thou knowest the lady in this busy city who needs protection at all times, keep her under Thy wings and make her to feel at home under Thy shadow. And for this whole household that cries, help us with everything, Lord, grant not only a beautiful day in circumstance but a beautiful day in the soul, a calm confidence in Thy faithful care. We ask all this through Jesus Christ our Lord, who alone is our salvation and our hope, and in whose name we rest. Amen.
