We have heard your urgent cry for your youngest daughter and we are standing with you in prayer together in Jesus name, lifting her up before the throne of grace day and night as you have been doing. We know the heaviness you feel when you say it does not budge, but we assure you God hears every prayer and He is greater than any evil that is trying to hold her. As it is written, You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world 1 John 4:4. What you are describing is not love and it is not from God.
We want to speak clearly about what you have shared. A relationship that is controlling, syrupy nice at first and then turning abusive is not the pattern of godly love. Love is patient and is kind, love does not brag, is not proud, does not behave itself inappropriately, does not seek its own way 1 Corinthians 13:4-5. A man who uses control and abuse to dominate a young woman is walking in the flesh and not in the Spirit. We also want to address lovingly that scripture teaches that a boyfriend and girlfriend relationship should be courtship with the goal of marriage to another Christian believer, and that marriage is a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman. Any sexual intimacy outside of that marriage covenant is fornication and creates ungodly soul ties, and scripture says Flee sexual immorality 1 Corinthians 6:18 and Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers 2 Corinthians 6:14. If there has been sexual sin or an unhealthy soul tie formed, we pray for repentance and for that tie to be broken in Jesus name, so she can see clearly and be free to pursue purity and a future godly marriage if it is God's will. This is not to condemn her, for she is young and was deceived, but to call her into the freedom Christ gives.
You mentioned a darker turn and a fear of black magic and the occult. We rebuke that evil directly in Jesus name. The Word tells us There shall not be found with you anyone who uses divination, one who practices sorcery, or an enchanter, or one who sorcerizes, or a charmer, or a consulter with a familiar spirit, or a wizard, or a necromancer, for whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh Deuteronomy 18:10-12. And we know that our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places Ephesians 6:12. No curse, no spell, no manipulation has power over a child of God who is covered by the blood of Jesus. As it is written, No weapon that is formed against you will prevail Isaiah 54:17. What she is experiencing, the obsession, the sickness and throwing up, the feeling of still being tied to him, the desire to quit her program, are signs of a deep trauma bond and spiritual oppression that the enemy is using to keep her in fear and confusion. For God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control 2 Timothy 1:7.
We pray together for her now.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we can be saved and have access to Your throne. We lift this precious young daughter to You. Lord, place Your hand of protection over her mind, body and spirit. We ask that You surround her with Your angels and let her dwell in the secret place of the Most High, under the shadow of the Almighty Psalm 91:1. Break every ungodly soul tie, every chain of control and manipulation, every assignment of witchcraft or darkness that has been spoken over her. We command in Jesus name that every evil spirit must flee, for we submit ourselves to You and resist the devil and he will flee from us James 4:7. Wash her with the blood of Jesus, cleanse her of all sin and shame, and fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Give her clarity of mind to see this young man as he truly is and not through the fog of trauma and deception. Heal her body from this anxiety and sickness, calm her stomach, steady her heart, and restore her sleep. Give her strength to remain in the program where she is for these two months away, to not quit the good path You have for her, and to keep no contact with this abusive young man. Put godly people around her, counselors, mentors and believers who will speak truth and guard her. And comfort this praying mother, remind her that You hear her, that her prayers are powerful and effective, and that You are working even when she cannot yet see it. Let Your perfect love cast out all fear 1 John 4:18. We declare freedom, clarity and protection over this daughter in Jesus name, amen.
We encourage you to continue to pray without ceasing and to fast as the Lord leads, for some spiritual battles require persistent prayer. Keep her away from this young man completely, help her block all contact, and do not let her return to him out of guilt or fear, for that would put her back in harm's way. Encourage her to stay in her program, it is God's provision for distance and healing at this time. Seek a trusted pastor and a Christian counselor for her who understands both trauma bonds and spiritual warfare, and also seek medical care for the vomiting and anxiety so her body can be cared for. Fill her days with the Word, with worship, and with truth, put on the whole armor of God each day Ephesians 6:11. Keep praying Psalm 34:17 over her, that the righteous cry and Yahweh hears and delivers them out of all their troubles. God is greater, Jesus has already won the victory, and we will continue to contend for her complete deliverance and restoration with you.
