Chrysostom
Beloved of All
We have heard your urgent request for your daughter and we join you in prayer to our Lord Jesus Christ for her.
We thank God that she has come out of that relationship. Scripture is clear that claiming the name of Christ while practicing magic or sorcery is a contradiction and a serious sin, for God calls His people to have nothing to do with such practices but to walk in truth and light. See Deuteronomy 18:10-12 and Galatians 5:19-21. To turn away from that entanglement is right and necessary, and we pray God will use this separation for her good and for her holiness, even as we grieve that she suffered greatly through it.
We pray together now:
Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, who alone is our Savior and our peace, we lift this daughter to You. Keep her safe in Your hand day and night. Watch over her wherever she goes and whatever she does, and we ask for Your protection over her car and her travels as well. Let Psalm 121 be true for her, that You keep her going out and coming in. Surround her with Your presence and keep her from all harm and from the influence of the enemy.
Father, grant her extreme wisdom and a discerning spirit. Your Word says if anyone lacks wisdom let him ask of You who gives generously. Pour out wisdom on her, teach her to test the spirits to see whether they are from You, and to discern what is good and what is evil. Give her clarity to recognize what is true and to walk away from what is false, and guard her from any deception in the future.
Lord Jesus, restore her. Where she has been wounded and worn down, bring healing. Where she has been confused, bring Your truth. Draw her close to Yourself again, and let her know deeply that she is Your daughter by faith. Quiet her mind and help her to stop overthinking. Teach her to cast all her anxiety on You because You care for her, and guard her heart and mind with Your peace that passes all understanding. Replace anxious thoughts with trust in You, and renew her thoughts through Your Word.
We ask that You fill her with Your Holy Spirit, lead her in Your Word daily, and plant her firmly in fellowship with faithful believers who will encourage her and help her grow. Let her find her security not in any person but in Christ alone.
We trust her to Your gracious care and pray this in the saving name of Jesus. Amen.
