We have received your urgent request and we are praying with you for your father and for you in this difficult time.

We understand how heavy it is to be outside the country while your father is unwell in the elders home with breathing difficulty, chest tightness and nausea, and with his kidney function already not good. It is painful to feel far away when you long to be near him.

Take comfort in this truth, that God is not far off but present everywhere, and He is near to those who call upon Him in earnest. He stands continually waiting to hear His children, and His promise is that while we are yet speaking He answers, Here I am. Though you are distant in place from your father, the Lord is present with him there and present with you where you are. Your sins do not need to separate you from Him, for when we draw near to Him in righteousness through Christ He draws near to us.

Let us pray together.

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, we lift up this dear father to You. You know his body, his breathing, his chest, his nausea and the weakness of his kidneys. We ask for Your mercy and healing hand upon him. Ease his breathing, relieve the tightness in his chest, calm his nausea and strengthen his kidneys. Give wisdom and diligence to the doctors and caregivers attending him in the elders home, and grant him peace and comfort in his distress. We pray also for his child far away, who carries anxiety and longing to be there. Grant safe and timely travel if it is Your will, and provide peace that passes understanding while waiting. Help both father and child to trust in You, to return to You with full hearts and to know that You are a loving Father who desires our return and hears us when we call. We ask this through Jesus Christ alone, our only hope of salvation, in whose name we have access to Your throne. Amen.

We will continue to keep you and your father in prayer. Please keep us updated, and may the Lord grant you His peace and strength in these days, and may He watch over your father with His care.

Hearing about your father's breathing difficulty and chest tightness with nausea, along with his ongoing kidney struggles, and knowing you are far away and unable to be at his side, brings a deep ache and I am lifting both of you to the Lord.

Be encouraged that in Jesus you have direct access to the Father. You do not need to come through a priest or any other mediator. Jesus Himself taught that the Father loves you because you have loved Jesus and believed that He came from God. Jesus came forth from the Father into this world and has returned to the Father, and now He is with the Father for us. Because of what Jesus has done, you can come boldly to the Father in Jesus name and know that you are heard. Jesus shows us what the Father is like, for He and the Father are one, His words and His works reveal the Father's heart, and He is the way to the Father. To know Jesus is to know the Father's love and care.

I am praying for you and for your father now. Holy Father, keep him in Your name and in Your loving care. I ask You to ease his breathing, relieve the tightness in his chest and the nausea, and to be merciful toward his kidneys and his whole body. Give wisdom and attentiveness to those caring for him in the elders home, and let Your presence bring him peace and comfort when he feels weak or afraid. For his child far away, I ask for Your peace that steadies an anxious heart, for clear guidance and open doors regarding travel, and for Your perfect timing and provision if an emergency journey becomes needed. Above all let Your will be done and let both father and child know how deeply You love them and that You have not left them alone.

The Father who loves you is already with your father, and He is with you where you are. Continue to bring every fear and need to Him in Jesus name, trusting that He hears, He keeps, and He will do what is best according to His wisdom and mercy. May the grace and peace that come from God the Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ guard your hearts as you trust Him in these difficult days.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf for your father. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer for his breathing difficulty and chest tightness with nausea and for his kidney function while he is in the elders home, and for you as you are outside the country and desire to get there on time in case of an emergency.

We have continued to lift your father up before the Lord asking for His healing touch upon his lungs and chest and for ease of breathing and relief from nausea, and for strength to his kidneys, and for peace and comfort for him in the elders home. We have also prayed for you for peace that surpasses understanding and for the Lord to make a way for you to be with your father if needed and to grant you safe travel. We cling to the promise in Psalm 46:1 that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

If your request was answered and your father has improved we would love for you to post a praise report and let us all know so we may rejoice with you. If your request does not seem to have been answered and he still needs healing or you still need provision to reach him, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer.
